He's really good at rolling to his front though. You put him down on his back and step away for a moment and you know he'll be on his front by the time you come back.
It seems like he prefers lying on his front, but just doesn't know what to do from there. Is there anything I can do as a parent to help him learn how to roll back to his backside, or crawl? | He's likely just frustrated he can't get back over. It'll come with time. All kids end up developing at different speeds.
My first never crawled. He'd roll and pull himself along the hardwood floor with his arms. After he learned to pull himself up and use the walker thing, he walked with it till he walked on his own.
The second went through the normal crawl/walk/run stages.
If you know someone with a kid around the same age, there's some use in exposing them to other kids behavior to mimic. Our second certainly went through development stages faster we think as she had her brother to mimic as they're 2 years apart.
We had a friend of a friend at a party tell us their 9 month old didn't talk (basic single words baba mama milk etc) or babble, and after being next to my kid who was babbling away, he started babbling too. The mom was over the moon excited.
The "milestone" dates for crawling/walking/talking have a wide target window.

Is there anything I can do as a parent to help him learn how to roll back to his backside, or crawl? | I watch an occupational therapist for babies on YouTube. She teaches you how to help your baby learn the motions. Babies develop at different rates, but I have a friend who's days within my kid and mine has been developing faster. My friend has a "he'll get there eventually" attitude, where as I do exercises in hopes to speed it up.

I'm glad to be enjoying my 40s with kids who are now in the school system. I'm seeing some friends who are having newborns in their 40s and they're having a pretty hard time. Having children is a very humbling experience and I can imagine that having them in your 40s is probably more so considering life expectations, financial commitments, professional commitments/aspirations, etc. | I had my first in my mid 40's and second in later 40's. Boy is it tough trying to keep up with them. I do see younger parents playing with their kids or young teenage kids like kicking the soccer ball around or doing a hike. When my kids hit the teenage years, I will be close to 60.....that is actually scary thinking that there might be some physical activities that I won't be able to do with them.

At your 40's and 50's you aren't really chasing explosive strength and big muscles, instead maintaining your cardio and maintain muscle mass and bone density so you can still handle the high impact exercises. There's still plenty of very active and healthy ppl at 60 nowadays.
About a decade ago when we were in our 20's, we went hiking at Lynn Canyon, and we out hiked by a 63 yr old on the trail who passed us going up, and then said hi again and laughed with us as he came back down while he were STILL going up.

When it comes to your kid, what are you people doing to log in to things that require the bc services app as a 2 step verification? I don't see an option in the app for a second user.

Have yet to encounter it yet so might need to prepare myself too lol. Only thing I've experienced so far is making email addresses for my kids in order to get Nexus and then trying to keep that email address active so it doesn't get deleted.

I'm curious also, what do you need to log in for? Medical records?

We no longer get physical SIN card's. In order to sign up for RESP, bank wants proof of SIN, and they won't just allow me to verbally tell them the number. One of the options was to log in to government systems, but I came across the need for bc services app. Long story short, I lined up about 3 hours at Service Canada for a dumb piece of paper, that doesn't even have any security features, to show the bank.

I was at Tsawwassen Mills the other day and rented one of those electric ride on cars. My son seemed to have a good time in one as I controlled his car around the mall. A bunch of people passing by thought he was driving it himself, lol.
I was thinking of buying one. Anyone have one of these and what kind of things to look for? Long term ownership experiences, any specific brands I should go for or they're more or less all the same? lol being a car guy, I'm kind of looking at the Lambo or McLaren ones.

Don't get any of the 6V ones. The Costco thread has a Mario Kart one that's 24V which is probably good. $450.

We opened an RESP for ours and we didn't need to do any of that, we were in and out in like 20 minutes.
EDIT*: Never mind, it does not. Still weird though, we were never asked to provide one. Now I'm wondering if I even know what ours' SIN is, lol

24V is probably too much for my son right now as he's only 9 months, lol.
And it needs to be remote controllable.

And it needs to be remote controllable. | Simple electronics, higher voltage is more efficient. In this case the higher voltage cars are usually faster. Most of them have a remote nowadays so you can drive it like an RC car.
I've actually never seen a 24V until the Mario Kart one popped up, most are 12V.

Hmm lol now I have to wonder if I ever registered for a SIN for my youngest 4 years ago. I know for sure I did with my eldest and as pointed out pretty lame its some piece of paper vs a card but oh wells.
