GVRD go-karts?

Hey guys, gonna bring my 5yr old down and he loves go karting. Which places have good speed double karts(fastest doubles) ?

My dad used to take me to the Richmond go karts, was going to suggest them, but damn, they closed back in 2019

Do they have 2 seaters? I'd love to take my niece & nephew around.

They aint fast bust Castle fun parks has doubles, and the whole arcade and games.. So might be worth going for all the activities.

Not fast is an understatement. Even the singles are slow as molasses

Is TBC still open in Richmond?

That and the new one with electric karts, Speedsters or someting.

Edit: oops missed the double cart request

AzNightmare 07-21-2021 11:59 AM

TBC is one of the best ones. Not sure if they have double karts though. I haven't been there in ages.

SPEEDERS Indoor ProKarts is EV. I never been there before, but it must be nice not smelling like gas after. lol

I've never seen doubles at TBC. Speeders is ok, I went there once when it was pretty new and was surprised at how bumpy it was on the straight, and it's kind of a buzzkill having to come in, stop and switch karts for your "3 races" whereas TBC just lets you run for the full time limit.

Ya double carts are hard to find

If you're a bit more serious about getting your kid into karting or a better way to test the waters. I'd look into putting him in a kid kart in Chilliwack @Greg Moore Raceway aka WCKC. Several companies run a kid kart program for kids aged 5-7. They provide everything needed to get your kid on the track. Tim Madonna @Madonna Racing is one of the more reasonably priced one that I'd recommend.

My boy started at 6 in 2 stroke racing and he's been racing for a whole year now. The field is strong and competitive starting at the cadet class but kid kart is great fun for 5yo +. They run 35-50cc and can still adjust the throttle to your liking. You'll never look at indoor karting again. PM me if you want to know more.

I did TBC it was legit.

No gas smell and honestly, we booked a room upstairs and bough tour own pizza + beer + musci and just chilled. They DO not have air condition just FYI.
