Transport Canada New Tail Light Requirement Transport Canada requires new vehicles to have tail lights that come on automatically Quote:

based transport canada I noticed MY21 subies changed the headlight switch. It springs back to auto when you turn it to the off position |
So many Civics need this retrofit... sooooooooooo many |
Still no f1 flashing brake light |
That only took 41 years to do. |
yet there still will be a bunch of dumbasses on the road driving in the dark with their DRL still on, but good change of rules nonetheless. |

“IT WONT FORCE ME TO DO ANYTHING. GOVERBMENT TYRANTS MY CAR MY COICE” But seriously now people just won’t know how fast they are going down Stanley park causeway with no lights in the rain. |
People are idiots, every night I see at least one car driving with lights off. I've had to explain low beams and drls so many times to my old customers. Chevy has had it right for the last 20+ years, front and back lights are always on. At least on the full sized trucks. |

now to solve the problem with highbeams being turned on... |

I think the next implementation that Transport Canada needs to do is to mandate vehicles to shout at the operator if their high beams are on "HEY ASSHOLE YOUR HIGH BEAMS ARE ON, TURN THAT SHIT OFF BEFORE YOU DRIVE" |

Not sure why car manufacturers are so slow to adapting to automatic headlights. |
my car had auto highbeam turned on by factory, so had to turn it off, since it kept turning on for some reason. so hope if more manufactures start with auto everything they don't auto highbeam |

This has been a huge issue coming off the ferry at night. Two lanes of dense traffic racing to get where ever they are going and half the cars have no tail lights. |
Damn, this is about as bad as that time they made seatbelts a requirement |
Cars should have two positions for headlights, Auto, and On |
lol, it's died down a bit now, but every single car forum 5+ years ago was inundated with mostly Americans with "HOW DO I DISABLE DRL I DONT WANT THE GOVERNMENT TELLING ME WHEN I NEED TO HAVE MY LIGHTS ON". |

How does it detect when highbeams are required or not? I usually turn my highbeams off any time I'm not the lead vehicle in a dark highway if I'm relatively close to a car in front of me. |
its sensor usually found by your rearview mirror it's awesome, probably even more useful than auto-wipers |
