<insert fails here> came talking shît, but now just upgraded my phone lol Got the 256 23 pro max with Rogers. My phone was acting up, same as the wife’s. I don’t care for having the newest one so I don’t care to wait for the 14 or wtv. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

Edit: Still waiting for my photos to be processed. |
13 pro max and Galaxy S9+ When I first got the 13 kinda felt like a typical apple cuck as it didn’t feel THAT big of a job over the 11 pro max, but now having it for 8 months it’s a pretty fantastic phone. Camera is amazing and never once had an issue or even a hiccup. Fairly heavy use typically 4-5 hours a day https://i.imgur.com/RWHjqHP.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OmqPnBM.jpg |

My Samsung S10 contract recently expired. Phone works great still, but I'll upgrade if there's a deal to be had. Are phone subsidies a thing of the past? What's considered a deal nowadays? |

im using an iphone XS that i've had since launch and it still feels fast might wait till the 14 or even 15 before upgrading |
Poco (Xiaomi) x3 NFC.... a $250 phone w/a 120hz screen, 5000mah battery, 33w fast charging, 64mp Sony imx camera. Not a horrible phone other than the fact that I'm sure that everything I do on it is monitored by the CCP :lol |
iphone12 first iOS daily driver, coming from stock google android since HTC Magic days, the streak ended with the pixel4XL becuz google won't allow 5G on "unsupported" networks. Been 9months now and zero complaints. Been a mac user since 2008 and always held off on iOS because of just how customizable the vanilla android experience has been. With how iOS matured over the years, it does kind of just makes sense to swap to iOS. I regret nothing, the sync is still there. https://i.imgur.com/9apAltt.jpg in all honesty, I just wanted to show off my Canucks phone case... i miss the days of unique one of a kind keitais. made some friends on this forum because of keitais, and are still in touch with some of you. Many here has also purchased phones from me over the years whether it was just the phone itself or full on contracted plans+phones etc. I do owe a lot to the RS community for this |
I kinda want that samsung Z fold 4 but its like almost 3k for a phone that i know ill drop on day 1. Seems super bulky and slippery with all these perfectly smooth screens. Work gave me this iCrap XR and its on its last legs so i dont know if i should wait it out for work to replace my old junk with some slightly newer junk, or just splurg and go buy my own device. Either this Z fold 4, or 13 Mini (i love small phones), or the new 14 when it comes out. |
I have an iPhone 13 mini and love the size. My personal phone is an iPhone XR and totally not in love with the size. It takes up a lot of pocket real estate and just overall bulky. OEMs need to offer smaller phones. |

I remember I had this sony ericson phone that lights up when someone calls you. Then after razer came out and everyone just switched over lol. Good times. |
Anyone here ever migrate from iPhone to Android that can give me their anecdotal experience? I'm growing tired of Apple and their bullshit, I've never owned an Android phone, and frankly I feel like a total retard when I even attempt to use one (the UI is goofy to me in comparison to IOS). The new Pixel is enticing me but I'm worried that making the jump would be a disappointment, it's crazy how iMessage creates such a dissuasion to move. |
There is a learning curve and it's different for everyone and which version of Android you cross over to. TL;DR: You'll get used to it...eventually. Anecdotal experience: I switch from iOS to Android and back and forth all the time. Recent switch was from iOS to a Microsoft Surface Duo on Android but it feels like I'm using a Windows device so...YMMV. Android has its quirks and some companies do it better than others which, in my personal opinion, can influence the user experience and learning curve. |

Disclaimer: I am not using it as a phone (yet.) I got it because it was being blown out by Amazon.com and I figured, "Why not?" I wanted to have a larger tablet-type device while being able to browse the web in the evening w/o having to be in front of a laptop/computer all while being able to access my work e-mails/files/Teams in one device. Also, this is a lot easier to bring around when I'm traveling and not have to bring my laptop with me, so this is a great substitute and I like it for that. No qualms with it other than some weird quirks because of Android and setting it up with my work via Microsoft O365 and company security policies but took a few tries to get it right. So far, I like it. It's plenty fast (for me) and my use cases (browse/e-mail/viewing photos/work stuff.) If you game or anything, do not get this device. A lot of online reviews hate on the device but I find it works quite well. I can't speak for the camera because let's be honest, who really buys a device like this for its camera capabilities? Other than that, I'm not sure what the beef is. I don't have any accessories with it but hope to have a wireless keyboard to pair it with. I thought about getting the pen but didn't see much use for it. Had it not been for Amazon selling this for $300'something, I would not have bought it. Cost was a huge deterrent for me. |
