No contract Wi-Fi companies in Vancouver?

My friend is living at a friend’s parents apartment, which is not occupied atm.
There is no Shaw or Telus internet /modem there. My friend is looking to get a no contract Wi-Fi access temporarily for 6 months (because my friend is not the official home owner). Are there any good local companies that offer this?
My friend said there are coaxial cable outlets available.

Try Lightspeed Internet or Teksavvy.

Shaw and Telus have month to month. You just pay about 25-30% more than a contract per
Month

Setup a data only plan and use that for internet if your friend isn't high use?
