Dell Financial Services

In the past I have bought Dell laptops for my personal computer as they offer fairly good options to finance the computer with no interest on purchases if you pay the balance off in the the first 12 months. I have been a fairly good customer of theirs having bought about 6 computers from them over the last 12+ years and today I received a letter from them saying that they would no longer be extending me any credit. I found this rather unusual as I have never missed a payment and have always paid off my purchases early.

It turns out that Dell is no longer going to be offering financing services to consumers at least, i'm unsure if this applies to corporate customers. As this was the biggest differentiator for me to purchase their XPS line over companies like Razor or even going to the dark side and getting a Mac, I really don't see myself buying from them again in the future. It looks like the 2021 XPS 15 that I bought last year may be my last Dell.

If you are looking to buy from them I believe that you have until the end of September to finance something with them.
