It was the owner of the dealerships car, they did not charge me pdi, and gave me free delivery. 600$ paperwork fee. I guess you can call it a demo since I'm the "first owner" on paper

The guy at the insurance place was trying to piece it together, he stared at the paper for like 10 minutes before asking me why it was 2015, 10,000kms, and has never been registered

And all I'm thinking in the back of my head is: HURRY THE FUCK UP I WANT TO DRIVE IT while smiling and waiting patiently......

^Have you tried posting it on AutoTrader / CL? I feel there are way fewer time wasters on those platforms over FB Marketplace, plus their search engine is much better at filtering and serving up listings that match a specific criteria.

I skipped Facebook altogether when I listed my Lexus last month on AutoTrader and CL. Most of the leads were legit and the car sold within the week.

Out of curiosity, was the successful lead from AutoTrader or Craigslist?

Given the calibre of vehicle and the dollar value, my assumption is that a lot of the riff raff had been written off.

Should change the RS banner from an R35 to a golf R at this point.

less traffic on CL/Autotrader, but demographics is generally older so you get more legitimate buyers as opposed to kids on FB!

There are around 60 or so units total with the bulk of them being 2016s. My 2017 was 1 of 2 in BC among the 12 brought into Canada that year.

Both platforms gave me solid leads with the winning one coming from AutoTrader. Most people already knew what it was which made communications easier, plus the historical listings data I had filtered out the few tire kickers pretty quick.

I felt it was time to improve my manual-driving skills in order to feel more comfortable behind the wheel. The new WRX was readily available and reasonably priced so it became the answer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the car and I hope it stays mint with the new owner.

^Any chance you can get build/maintain a relationship with a local VW dealer that can let you know when/if a Golf R comes in? Or ask if they're expecting any lease returns later this year?

Assuming a 4-year lease cycle, there could be some decent off-lease MY2019s out there still.
