Some people barely get a chance at the playoffs let alone a cu final. In recent memory it took Taylor Hall until his 8th season to even taste the playoffs lol

I will reiterate, I would have been okay with McDavid winning a cup. I was NOT ok with the likes of Draisaitl, Kane and Perry winning. Mostly Draisaitl for his arrogance and how unlikeable he has proven to be. Skillset undeniable, but he's such an asshole.

Special Advisor to the General Manager being on the cup is a pretty tall ask.
Apparently the team decides which people from the front office get on the cup list though, as long as they stick to 55 names or less overall... so I'm sure he will get his knob polished despite a dubious actual role with the team.
