FYI glass shops are reluctant/refuse to replace windshields for very recently acquired vehicles. I bought a corrado a few years ago w a cracked windshield. Tough piece of glass to get, and no shop would try to make a claim until I'd owned and insured the car for at least 3 months. There's no official timeline
AFAIK. I received the same exact spiel from every glass shop I tried, although none could show me an actual ICBC policy on the subject.
Always get a seller of a car w a cracked windshield to get it fixed before you take ownership - even if you have to negotiate out the cost of the deductible.

agree for some vehicles - but BCAA could have gotten OP into his vehicle w no damage in about 30 seconds, and probably no charge
