Mondegeen's
Growing up, I basically had a radio strapped to my head. Loved listening to music. Back then, radio's sucked balls, as far as sound quality and output were concerned. No such things as headphones - at least not readily available. Even then, headphones made no sense, 'cause the output was so distorted with station drift and noise being so bad, Also, monaural, not stereo.
Anyway, this lead to Mondegreens. So many of my favourite songs sound so different now that I'm listening to them in High Fidelity (surround sound, dedicated centre for vocals, etc.).
Anyway, for those who don't know what Mondegreen's are, here's a description of it. The origin of mondegreen, lol.
My all time favourite is "Put some liquor in it......." When I first heard it, I was like, "You racist pig!" Then there's Mexican Lucky, gulolol........... Up all night to get lucky (I get it now, but still hear Mexican Lucky in the backup vocals). Lady Gagme's Poker Face (pucker face).
Post your most embarrassing Mondegreen experience. Could be music or from other audible sources.
Just realized I spelt the title wrong. Mods, please fix. Mondegeen's............. fuck me, banh mi

In all fairness, women have better hearing than us guys. I remember the days I was competing in car audio competitions. I spent days trying to get rid of dead spots and firm up the imaging. Wife's pretty brutal. The morning of the competition, she says, "The system sounds like crap. It was better last week. What did you do?"
Anyway, I remember one time she was like, "Holy crap, that sounds fantastic!" It was a passage from Copacabana. Insturmentals. You get the imaging right and it screws up everything else. This was the time I made the regionals and represented BC/Alberta in the World Finals.
