S&P 500 hits a historic ALL TIME HIGH today!

https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/18/stoc...e-updates.html

S&P 500 Index hit a historic ALL TIME HIGH today!

With interest rates at the highest rate it has been in decades. If the fed starts to lower interest rates, what does that do to risk assets theoretically? It eases downward pressure.. meaning there's upward momentum.

I know the market could drop 25% this year, but for today, literally, everyone who has ever invested in the S&P 500 Index and has held is in the money today and that's simply amazing!

^^ I think Canada is fucked, the high % really fucked us over cuz we have so much debt, meanwhile the US is relatively sheltered cuz of their 30 year rates. I just don't see what we have that the hippies and natives are willing to sell to make money. Our economic outlook just doesn't look good. So much money is used to service debt, rather than r&d or invested into businesses. All of the monopolies have market saturation already, I can't see where there is growth.
