I was only half watching that game, but it sure looked like the hit took him out, and maybe he should have been removed from the game after that
Doesn't matter anyway, not much we can do. But I can see why fans are mad. If it happened to a Canucks player, a lot of fans here would be going crazy over it

Having seen the replay and the slow-mo, I have to say I thought it would be worse than that from all the posts I saw. Did he clip him? Sure, he did. Was it an egregious, blatant elbow to the face? I don't think so. In the end, it's still bad and the league should do more to protect goaltenders. I would have accepted a 1 game suspension for Bennett on this play. I think him getting ZERO is the main issue for fans.

That isn’t a 1 suspension though. Typically the thought is 1 game in the playoffs is 3 in the regular season, would that have been 3 games in the regular season? Not a chance

Well yea even in this game the reffing has been garbage
I think the game is getting too fast to ref effectively. This isn’t like a robo ref situation in MLB or the single play you monitor in the NFL. There is way too much to pay attention to in the NHL to effectively ref it seems

This is the best this iteration of the leads have ever looked in the playoffs
