2025 Lexus RC-F - Final Edition

Looks like it's the end of the RC-F and 2025 is the last hurrah for the model.

What do you guys think? I think the colour is pretty nice (only one colour.) Shit on it, guys. :fuckyea:

I love the look of this face lifted RC-F. At least its a real F product not like the IS500 or the LC500 which arent really F products.

PLUS you can supercharge the shit out of it and the mod support is endless.

am I crazy? but didn't we already get a thread about this like a few months ago lolol, I have huge deja vu~~

RabidRat 05-23-2025 08:56 AM

Yes we did, and I even posted it, but I ain't even mad.

This is the Geriatric Motoring Forum: it's entirely on-brand for us to repeat.

Plus we learn many things in between so we can properly evaluate this vehicle. Like for example, what would be the sound quality of the road noise? And what will this mean for Hobz's deep-seated denial of his lust for Porsche?

edit: actually i'm the old man. i posted a final edition supra not rc-f.

Gumby 05-23-2025 08:58 AM

So... when is the anticipated delivery date for Badhobz' 2025 RC-F?

JDMDreams 05-23-2025 09:04 AM

$118,499.80
Monthly Lease
$1,937.76
Term by Months
48 @ 5.9%

Yea no thanks I'll just get a is500 or LC

Dbone 05-23-2025 09:12 AM

Dull colour aside... I like it because as a G87 owner I can say "Wow, those Lexus's are fat as fuck! How can they make them so heavy!??"

I think he hates this car. :lawl:

Badhobz 05-23-2025 09:32 AM

So apparently no dealership in vancouver has one. you have to "draw" to get one. Regency already has 2 deposits down for it.....

That's crazy considering Lexus was forcing allocations onto dealers only a few years ago without a way to move them.

bcrdukes 05-23-2025 09:49 AM

Lock the thread. This car is now dead to me!

noclue 05-23-2025 11:01 AM

I read that aside from the antique platform the auto transmission is the achilles heel. Plus the MSRP

Lmao I just read the spec sheet - under powertrain wtf is “takumi engine tuning”

bcrdukes 05-23-2025 11:11 AM

Only Badhobz can answer that.

@noclue - Any recommendations that meet, and / or exceed the specs of the final RC-F?

Now you're the old man again, for not reading the fine print addendum to my post.

bcrdukes 05-23-2025 11:25 AM

oh reading comprehension is one of my weaknesses thank you for calling that out

If Lexus forces dealers and can't move them, how do weirdos like me get an allocation or the opportunity to buy one?

I believe each of the engines are hand assembled in motomachi by takumi craftsman. I’ve seen a video somewhere on YouTube that shows them micro finishing each cam and cylinders and done in a hermetically sealed facility.

Yes besides the transmission being a bit jerky, it’s got a lot of nice track ready stuff like transmission cooler, scavenge pumps, and a decently tuned platform. It’s just heavy for what it is but it’s more grand touring than a m3/m4 plus that NA engine can handle some serious boost.

I think it’s the perfect geezer mobile. Not so hardcore that you’ll break your tits flopping up and down on bumps but fast and fun enough to drive without falling asleep. It’s more of a sporty car vs my even more generic ratrolla.

Honestly I rather like it. It’s just expensive as fuck….

bcrdukes 05-23-2025 11:40 AM

I can only assume they've tuned the transmission. I mean, while not exactly the same thing, Vasser Sullivan has campaigned the RC-F to so many victories in the IMSA series. However, I don't know how much of that data they are sharing with Toyota/Lexus engineers. I have seen Lexus engineers with them trackside at CTMP and at Long Beach during the Grand Prix.

Then again, Takumi engine tuning is not very inspirational or motivating.

I fucking love this stupid car!

Badhobz 05-23-2025 11:54 AM

Too bad you can’t even find one. New or used. a used one thats 10 year old, beaten on, still goes for 60k

I knew I wasnt crazy... because I remember talking about how the final edition is only a single color....

bcrdukes 05-23-2025 03:44 PM

Well, that thread got destroyed.

radeonboy 05-23-2025 04:14 PM

^So...what's your take on the RC-F?

68style 05-23-2025 04:46 PM

Someone tell Lexus blahrdo grey isn’t in fashion anymore after Audi burned it to the ground, especially on this fat fuck of a coupe.
