Easier said than done for a lot of athletes. I actually watched a video recently about Yakupov and he was for sure a cocky little shit with no defensive game but was also a victim of multiple coaches and a terrible era in Edmonton.
Anyone going to see the Leafs vs. Canucks tomorrow night at Rogers? As much as it would be nice to have a chance at No. 1 overall draft ... I think there is enough cushion of points for Canucks to beat the Laffs ... I think I prefer the last team in the league beating the Laffs.

Three members of an Alberta junior hockey team were killed in a crash while driving to practice in Slavely, Alta, south of Calgary on Monday.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 2 and 55 Avenue in the town of Stavely around 11 a.m. for reports of a two-vehicle collision.
RCMP say a semi-truck pulling gravel was heading northbound on the highway while a small passenger vehicle was heading eastbound on 55 Avenue when they collided in the intersection.
All three occupants of the passenger vehicle were killed. Mounties confirmed that two 18-year-olds from Kamloops and a 17-year-old boy from Alabama were pronounced dead.
The driver of the semi, a 40-year-old Stavely resident, suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
Cameron Casorso, 18, and JJ Wright, 18, were both from Kamloops, B.C. Caden Fine, 17, was from Birmingham, Alabama.
Damn. This McKenna kid has a violent temper. I think that it is safe to say that he is definitely not the no. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft anymore haha:
BREAKING: Gavin McKenna charged with felony assault
Over the last few days, we looked into reports that Gavin McKenna broke the jaw of a kid who was chirping him after he was asked to leave Doggies Pub Saturday night
He has now been charged with aggravated assault and three other charges

Some reports saying the guy was chirping McKenna's mom, who was at the bar with him.

I actually think this raises his stock. He was so soft in world juniors, and if this is a case of him defending his mom then sounds like the other kid got a taste of FAFO
Hockey forums have posts from people mentioning eyewitness accounts of McKenna's assault of a guy at the Doggie's Pub in Penn State.
The guy called McKenna's Mom a "whore"
Then this guy walks out of the pub.
McKenna runs after the guy. Pow! Pow! Two hard punches at the guy's jaw.
That guy probably has his jaw wired shut after surgery for a broken jaw haha.
-sounds like a case of FAFO.
Although what McKenna did was aggravated assault against a guy,
I really liked that he defended his Mom.
Canucks, draft McKenna! Take him! He has "character"!
I saw a report that guy was going off at the bar and everyone was ignoring him. He got kicked out of the bar and waiting until Gavin and his family walked out and then started going off on his mom being a whore again which is when Gavin dropped him with two shots. Guy was 21 and he is 18..
If that's the true story then I have zero issues with what he did, the guy fulled deserved what happened cause FAFO. I think this will raise he stock as well, teams love shit like that.
unfortunately as an athlete you represent your organization at all times so you really have to learn how to smile and walk away from these situations regardless of what people say.
punching a dude for saying something to your mom could be career ending.. just think of the fortune your parents spent on building up your career in this sport since you were a kid, all the long hours practicing and your parents driving you around everywhere, and the 10s of millions you could lose in future salary even for a below average player let alone a top prospect.. of course he was not thinking about any of these things because he was so angry and emotional in that moment.
i feel sorry for gavin if the jerkoff antagonizer was being that bad, but you cant just punch someone because you don't like them.
