The Official 2025/2026 Canucks & NHL Thread

Well another start to the year of us hoping the Canucks win the cup, with no clue of the direction this team will go this season is going to be a lot interesting and I think it’s going to start with a bang once the Abby Canucks are finished in the finals.

Is Petey and Demko going to get traded?

Where is Boeser going?

Will we keep our 15th over all draft pick?

No clue what those answers are but I’m a Canucks fan till
The day I die.

GO CANUCKS GO!!

canucks so good

Go canucks go! Doesn't matter who wins the cup I realized. I can never cheer for another team to win even if we suck ass every season.

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

1st page! Not much faith in our team for the next few years. I'm interested in seeing how they navigate this off season though.

teggy604 06-17-2025 07:42 PM

Canucks are so far away from being contenders. lol.

Oilers couldn't even get the job done with two best players in their prime on the tail end of their contracts. With Bouchard playing top mins at a discount.

That bum Nurse contract is really hurting them.

1st page, I don't have much hope for good results this year either. It'll be a win (though it might be a lose to some fans) if we make it into the playoffs.

If Florida is the competition, Vancouver isn't even in the same league.

Weird how Jake Walman and Jeff Skinner couldn’t push Edmonton over the top. Almost like they maybe needed to do more? lol

Canucks are going to be fucking ass next year. Chytil is our 2nd line centre and that’s even assuming Petey plays like a first line centre. Throw in dinosaur Foote as a coach and I’m prepared for the worst.

If only our Canucks had a practice facility like the Panthers. $65 million US for their practice facility:

Lots of rumors of major money issues for Acquilini and family… Paolo left and apparently wants to be paid out.. cheaping out on stuff left and right now.

Dark days are coming I’m afraid :(

Maybe, just maybe, Aquaman might be open to selling the Canucks to another billionaire?? :considered:
The Aquilini family needs money.

We need a new owner!

HonestTea 06-18-2025 07:31 AM

Another mediocre year incoming..

teggy604 06-18-2025 07:37 AM

Aquaman has money. Canucks are 13th overall in 2024 for revenue. Way better than the 2 times stanley cup champs the panthers which sits near the bottom.

As long as fans willing to pay for $100 beers and $500 single game tickets, he still making money.

Maybe their property development division is feeling the crunch as all developers are. They have a surprising number of communities on the go:

I can feel it in the air, this is gonna be a good year! Canadian teams have upped their game across the board, starting to get interesting again!

Jesus that facility is amazing. One thing these American teams are good at, facilities and wellness/tech, you can see why the Panthers are so good, and why they're such a desirable team to play for.

I agree with everyone else here, dark days ahead for the Canucks. Too many rumblings about how much $$$ is needed to to buy Paolo out. Even if the Canucks make money, we don't know how liquid Francesco's assets are, nor do we know why Paolo wanted out in the first place.

Future isn't looking bright for this team IMHO.
