No mang, you can get a Ryobi electric mower on sale for $250!
I have one and it kinda sucks - it does the job since I have a small lawn but I would love to have a nice smooth Honda mower. I just don't have a big enough yard to justify it. Maybe I need to start a side hustle cutting people's lawns to justify one.
Another comparo of the hybrid CUVs and the CR-V wins over the new RAV4 with refinement being one of the key differentiators.
All 4 cars in that comparo were within 2db of each other.
IMO problem is more the road noise through the chassis & bumps through the seat.
Wind noise is fine, the Sport Touring Hybrid they tested is 7k more expensive than the base Sport though.
Like, I'm not saying the CR-V is super terrible.
It's just such a big step down from the 4XE that it feels like going from iPhone to a plastic mid range Samsung from 2021.
Many years ago when I was still a track rookie, I witnessed a 911 GT-something -- probably a 996 GT2 or 997 GT2 -- melting the rear bumper at Mission as well.
As a newbie back then, it was really eye opening.

nah they dont, its all discontinued (or retrostock). They had a recall on the last few gas mowers they made, and now its completely dead. LIKE THEIR FUCKING CAR LINEUP!!!!
I bought one about 2 yrs ago when I found out Honda is not making gas mowers anymore. Honda motorsports only had 1 left after I bought mine. The new electric mower is a hard pass. I have a craftsman mower bought from Sears when Sears was still in business. And its still working. At least i have enough mower now to last me a life time. Lol.
Willing to sell a family member for a few minutes on RS

You’re lucky ! Yes I was too late to get one and now I’m stuck using this Costco Battery powered one. The only good thing about these battery ones are the lack of maintenance required. But otherwise I’d still prefer a Honda mower.

Yes 2 db isn't actually a lot - it's only marginally perceptible to most people, it's the quality of the sound that matters more and Toyota does a shit job with that. As a reference point, my RDX is technically quiet - on highway 1 in Burnaby at 100-110kph I record around 64-66db which is what you'd expect of a car of that class but there's so much grittness/graininess in what gets through that it feels much louder.

Maintenance isn't much. The only thing I change every season is the oil and put fuel stabilizer in before storage. Filter, spark plug and blade sharpen I do it when needed.
Here I am being the abusive owner. Bought a second hand Honda mower with rwd 10 years ago and have never done any maintenance on it except sharpening the blade once... It still starts every season. I don't deserve it.
My old Craftsman mower never got any real love for the 25+ years my family owned it and it still worked great when I sold it. I topped off the oil whenever I remembered and I think I cleaned the carb and air filter once lol. Lawn equipment is the only thing where I will concede electric is a lot more convenient, if less interesting. I'm still holding on to the 2 stroke weed wacker as long as I can though.

same here, my honda is easily 15y/o and ive done no more than 3 oil changes.
I cant even..... lost for words as to how disappointed i am in modern-day Toyota. My favourite automaker has been reduced to some lousy fucking hyundai / kia level of trash.
Isis wouldnt even want you now.
