Fun fact -- the Michelin wiper blades that Costco sells are licensed and made by First Brands. But the company has comitted some sort of financial fraud, filed for bankruptcy, and is close to a settlement.

US Costco has also switched to selling BFGoodrich wiper blades instead of Michelin ones. No idea who the actual manufacturer is. Let's see if it is the same garbage as the Michelin ones or not...

OEM. At least with Toyota and BMW, nothing beats OEM. My M3 is still on it's original wipers and we are coming up to 8 years.

For circle jerkers like EvoFire, that's perfectly acceptable for BMW standards.

What do you guys use as an easy cleaner/protector for leather seats? Giving my wifes Rav a clean today and the back seats in particular need some love from all the dirt and kids snacks ground into them.

Still got my original bottles from many years ago. I probably don't use them as often as I should.

I use Optimum No Rinse diluted to 1:100 to clean and CarPro PERL to protect. if it's really dirty I'll use whatever all purpose cleaner I have handy (right now it's CarPro MultiX, next up is P&S Express) except it's diluted.

If you're buying from Canadian Tire the Adam's stuff works just fine - cleaner and protector.

Pretty much all but the super expensive leather seats are clear coated so they can be cleaned and protected the same way you clean the interior plastics/leathers.

Sweet Jesus

It will have a limited run of 100 units and be priced from €714,000 ($841,212 USD).

HWA EVO.R Race Car Revealed For 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours With Three-Car Entry

There are race cars built to win. And then there are race cars built to settle unfinished business.

When HWA AG pulled the covers off the EVO.R, its dedicated competition variant of the road-going EVO super saloon, it was not just another GT hopeful lining up for a 24-hour grind. It was a homecoming. In 2026, the company will field three EVO.R entries at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, returning to the forest where its reputation was forged in noise, rain, and brake dust.

For those who know their touring car history, HWA is not a startup chasing headlines. Born from the competition arm of Mercedes’ most ferocious touring car programs, HWA’s fingerprints are all over the golden era of DTM. The silhouette that looms largest is the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II DTM, a car that looked like it had been sketched with a ruler and a vendetta.

The EVO.R is a modern echo of that aggression.

Anyone got their ICBC renewals this year? My iX went from $2200 to $2500... slowly going back to the rates before no-fault policy. Mild winter too so where's all the money going to? Balancing the budget?

The insurance for my GTI went down $48 this year which is surprising. For me it usually stays the same or goes up.

Sound does not happen when i have the car on a lift, or in idle.

Parts removed / re installed for supercharger install: steering rack, harmonic balancer, front sway bar and links, serpentine belt, ABS module and lines moved a few inches, radiator fan, intake boots.

Otherwise waiting for a dry day to take it back to the tuner with a day permit

Update to this:

New GM plug wire was faulty (maybe knockoff from rockauto)
New plug in, issue sorted

Boost + bad plug wire = knock / detonation

They aren't so nimble as to be able to change rates due to seasonal results.

My Taycan was only $2k. Island life!

Nice, congrats!

Must be super annoying... the one thing you'd think you could count on was the brand new part being a known-good lol.

How's the drive now with the supercharger?
