I really wish we can buy more powerful Segway ninebot scooters here but they don't sell them :okay:

They have them at Eevees in Chinatown, I've bought quite a few PEV's from there.

Done. The list kept on ballooning - 24 year old car problems - and eventually I had to put a limit on it for now. More fixing is yet to come though.

I’m having heating issues.
I drove the m3 this morning and the heat wasn’t blowing hot air.
And the passenger heated seat in the mini stopped working last month.

After last seasons accident, I wouldn't want to go much faster than 55, even wearing full gear.

Oh no, hope it's simple on the M3.

Is the Mini still under warranty?

For me, a lot of this is on the previous owner - he didn't really fix the problems as they showed up and basically deferred them. It's all overdue repairs/maintenance.

dark0821 01-14-2026 11:16 PM

its becoming a problem eh....

I will happily take it off your hands.....

red kryptonite 01-14-2026 11:17 PM

the mini is 10 years old lol warranty is long gone. ill probably hold off addressing this problem since it doesnt bother me and i rarely have a passenger in it.

as for me m3, i checked the coolant this afternoon and its good. so thats as far my ability takes me. time to bring it to a shop. FeelsBadMan

Does it have a diverter valve for the heater core? It might be stuck in the closed position.

While Segway is good, its far from being the only option. There are so many good brands out there. Vsett, Kaabo, Evolv, Dualtron.

I got a 2000watt escooter myself. Its a medium teir scooter. Does 62km/h top speed. But most of the time I just hover around 30-35km/h.

My buddy has a Kaabo King GT. Its a 4000Watt scooter and he can do about 100 km/h if he wanted to.

That's just suicidal man ... > 60kms/hr on a e scooter ... I assume it's the stand up type, not the sit down type like Baddyhobz. I guess it's a stand up motorcycle.

teggy604 01-15-2026 09:19 AM

Of course we don't ride that fast. We ride between 30-35km/h which is fast enough for our bike lanes. Any faster and it gets dangerous.

Although my buddy and I did test our top speed in a empty road in the middle of nowhere, when it was safe with nobody around. It's pretty stable. Not as stable as a bike but decent. We had full motorcycle gear on just incase.

I would say the guys running EUC is way more unstable as there is nothing to hold on to. And with the technology in PEV, lots of EUC can hit 100+km/h.

Badhobz 01-15-2026 09:24 AM

But why ? At those speeds just get a motorcycle. I binned it a few times while riding these in Germany. The small wheels and lack of suspension makes going over rough pavement and bumps a hard reality.

I ride EUC and this is somewhat true at first but becomes less true as you become one with the machine and the wheel becomes an extension of your legs in a way.

Does this count as a whip? It can go 85km/h+ and up to 150km's per charge.

I bought my kid a Segway ninebot that goes 25kmh and that’s fast enough him, but also me lol

OK .. wow, so what are the proper rules for someone riding these on the road? Are they allowed to take a lane? I don't see turning signals or braking signals for the car behind them ... some do use hand signals for turning but I wonder if these things are being invented faster than we can establish proper rules of the road for them.

There are no legally written rules for these as EUC's, performance scooters, Onewheels's, etc. fall into a grey area. The unspoken rules are don't be a dick and be courteous to pedestrians but that goes with just about anything you can ride. I ride in bike lanes mostly and only on roads when it is the only option. Being able to go up to 85km/h fairly quickly allows me to ride safely on the road when necessary. There is a brake light in the rear and I use hand signals for everything and I feel that is safer than having to communicate with drivers/peds on a bike or scooter. There are faster EUC's than mine, some can can go up to 110km/h+ (not that you should) and 200km's+ on a charge.

Badhobz 01-15-2026 11:19 AM

shit looks soooo dangerous! you guys live on edge.

Just think of it as half an e-bike or a one wheeled motorcycle. Either way it's fun as hell and you can fly around like the silver surfer!

My Escooter got full suspension. Same with my friends Kaaboo. His is even better than mine.

We are not talking about the entry level cheap scooter like the Lime.

For sure a motorcycle has a purpose. Like anything its just another option for folks.

You don't need gas, insurance, can use the EV charging stations, can take it on the skytrain, or seabus, doesn't take up much space, and can fit under the table or in an office.

JDMDreams 01-15-2026 12:00 PM

Sorry what I meant are these scooters, kinda confusing cuz they aren't exactly e bikes, more like e mopeds but people still call them scooters like vespa. What hobz has.

Badhobz 01-15-2026 12:20 PM

Yeah i want one of these. Stupid anti-Chinese vehicle sentiments in North America. They are afraid of importing these because it'll sink the scooter/moped/motorcycle market

djstyles 01-15-2026 12:31 PM

NIU makes some very nice e-scooters and moped style scooters like the ones pictured above like the NQi and the newer MQi series that are avaliable in Canada. I heavily considered them before I went all in on EUC's. The XQI series are great too if your looking for more of a Sur-Ron/Talaria style electric dirt bike.

Edit: I do not work for NIU XD

Assuming you have checked for proper fluid level when car is cold and hot

My sky had the same issue in winter, if it was slightly low, it would not provide heat.

It like an electric 49cc scooter, but with power of a motorcycle. Limited speed motorcycle can't exceed 1.5kW and since this is 10kW it probably be classify as a motorcycle/big scooter even though it looks like a scooter. Lol
