Yeah you gotta keep up the "romance". It's pay to play. White guys get it, they take their wives out with an excuse to get dressed up. They look nice, feel nice of course they're more likely to want to get down after dinner.

5 weeks ago, my girlfriend was being annoying all day (random emotions). Testing my patience bigger than normal.
I went to get groceries in the early evening. After getting what I needed (carrying about 10lbs in each hand), I slipped on some black ice and landed hard on my shoulder. Like REALLY hard.
The pain was unbearable as I stumbled back to the car,, while still holding the groceries with my now injured shoulder.
When I got home, wincing, my girlfriend totally changed and went into 'first responder' mode and took care of me, not just that evening but for the entire 1st week I could not use my left arm at all.
Took a full 3 weeks to recover. No broken bones, just muscle bruising.
But the whole scenario reminded me that in order to see the selflessness in your partner, you'll have to deal with the selfishness too. We're just all human. Just observe which side of the scale is tipping more.

Perhaps related but back in the day, before television and all that, I was told our grandparents had nothing better to do at night so might as well do the nasty. That's how they all ended up with 10+ kids 
Also with free child labour in mind, naturally.

Cuddled up to stay warm, no power, staying of your phone to save the battery...

To a much lesser degree perhaps lol. ain't nobody having that many kids anymore though... it's super rare. I think one of the doctors I know has perhaps 8 kids but that's because religious beliefs prevent him from using contraceptives. Also, obviously he has the funds to support so many people...
