buddha statues

for you asians with folks that have buddha statues in their home, when you move out to your own place would you also burn incense and keep buddha statues around?

it really depends on how superstitious and traditional you are. i would definitely keep the statue, but burning the incense wouldn't really matter to me.

Buddhism is a religion, not superstition. Whether religion is superstition or not, that's another discussion for another time.

Personally, I haven't done it because I know I wouldn't be able to keep that area clean, or give it the proper attention that a practicing Buddhist should give it.

i have a buddha statue at home that's near the entrance of my house, it was given as a gift. i'm not even chinese..
