At first, L4D was scary for me, and the people I played with. There were a lot of surprises in the beginning, like the first horde rush, witch/tank encounters, worrying about what lurks around the corner, etc. I know I screamed a lot as I wildly fired my shotgun in all directions. :) We feared the witch for a long time. Now I just rub up against her to piss her off, and shoot her in the face.

This game is entirely set in the south.

We were promised significant content after the release of the game (just like most multiplayer oriented Valve games) and weren't offered them. It took them how many months to put out the SDK for the public to use?

The game is coming out ~a year after L4D was put out which means they basically started work on this game once L4D was complete. So much for the promises of significant content :mad:

I've heard people saying it's choppy but mine wasn't at all. Also, you can still get dual pistols, you don't HAVE to have a melee weapon.

Try disabling the multicore option in the advanced video options, it stopped some stuttering I had.

Also, dual pistols are in the demo - just grab a second one off the ground and you got yer dual pistols.

I don't think that's unreasonable. My point was I played the entire demo (advanced then hardcore) in less than an hour and now have to wait 3 weeks for release. Since there are only the first 2 levels of the campaign there isn't really any replayability to it so there is nothing to do but wait.

Do you even know what a demo is for? It's not supposed to have replayability, if it did, people wouldn't buy the game. it's working fine for the last 3 hours that I played.

This new update, wow definitely makes the game so much more difficult and challenging.

The biggest challenge is the rolling crescendos, where you have to pick up gas tanks/run through a maze etc instead of in L4D1 where you just sit in a corner and weather the storm.

L4D 2 is definitely a lot harder than L4D 1.....I'm actually having a little trouble playing on Normal. I can play L4D 1 on expert no problem. Guess I need to get more familiar with the maps.

I use Avast.

It just gives me engine error: couldn't load library content.

Ive tried adding -novid to the launch settings, verified/defragged files, updated then reinstalled my video driver, reinstalled the game, still no hope.

Valve messed it over for me after the Dec 1. patch. They messed the game up for me with the Nov 21st patch, then fixed it with the Nov 27th patch, then after Dec 1 patch it's broken again.
