| Can Someone Recommend a Good Debt Collection Agency Locally?
I need to collect money from someone whos been avoiding my calls and making bs excuses of not paying and just giving me the run around. So I need to find a collections agency and sue his ass and take everything that they got. The debt is almost 30gs
I need a good debt collection agency that guarantees results and will get my money back. Please post any positive/negative experiences or links. Thanks!
Sorry mods I know this is the wrong section but I figured there would be alot more traffic here, thanks!

debt collection agencies deal with big organizations and businesses. I dont think you can walk in there and ask them to collect for you. In case you dont know how collections work, let me explain...
A business hands over a client with debt to collection agencies if the client's account is in major delinquency, meaning he hasnt been paying for a period of time. But when they "hand over" the account to collections, it also means they sold it for a small price amount. Therefore the business doesnt get the original amount anymore. Its just the sold amount and the collection agency will get the original amount, assuming they are able to collect. So if you hand over your "client" over to collections, they will buy it from you for a negotiated LOW price and if they are able to collect the 30gs, they keep it. They dont give it to you. (This is assuming you run a business)
What your asking for is a "hitman" or "loan shark collector" which is obviously illegal but gets the job done. Keep in mind though when going through these guys, they will ask for a pricey fee. Dont expect them to do it for a mere couple hundred bucks.
You also have to think about a few things:
1. do you have proper documentation stating this person owes you $30,000?
2. is there legal proof that there was transaction to back up the owing he has?
3. what is the nature of the transaction? if its not legal then your SOL.
goodluck on collecting your money.

This is the reason I hate borrowing money to friends because if they don't pay u can either.
A. just forget about it and lose the money
B. do something about it and lose a friend

go to their office or shop or home and say stuff like "this is a nice door/window etc., wouldn't want it to be damaged..." etc.

Im pretty sure thats how it works in the USA. In canada they collect on your behalf and they get a certain amount of commision for it. Could be wrong, but I worked collections for a bit and that was the case with our company.

How exactly do debt collection agencies get ppl's money?
do they just take it out of their assets?
I'm actually looking for one too, but they charge 30% which on around 10k is a pretty shitty deal

I think your only legal option is to sue the person, which requires documentation detailing the loan.
Illegally, I think the quickest way to get your cash back is to knock him unconcious and harvest a kidney, the street value of a healthy North American's kidneys is about $7G USD but you're still 23K out plus paying off the medical team.
If you chose to kill him, and take out the corneas, both kidneys, and a viable heart, I think the street value would be about $50K. The shady medical team will take about 15K, so you'd break even. PM me. (jk btw!)

Im in the same boat. I fucking hate it when people let money come in between and ruin relationships. What kind of disgusting piece of shit do you have to be to spit in the face of the person who's done you such a favor.

my grandfather used to say don't expect money back when you loan it to people (not to say that people are assholes but to instill a giving nature)

Oh also not entirely sure how it works, but look into putting a lean on the persons car or house if they own one. could or could not be an option for you
