not really. They have other initiations. Pharoah is one of the best initiators in the game. Nymphorah ulti sets up easy ganks for blinking stun tempest and phar ulti.

fuck im starting to give up on this game. seems like theres nobody out there that knows how to play support properly, and i'm getting sick of having to play support every game. and when i play carry nobody can support me. nobody buys wards unless i remind them. they dont upgrade the courier. they think that after buying courier you dont have to buy wards at all. theres always that one useless player that doesnt know what the fuck they are doing and just feeds the devo mid or the other team's carry. i'm fucking sick of it.

The game is full of noobs when the pros all left HoN for LoL cuz it's the next best thing to free. Then when all the pros invaded LoL it caused LoL to have more players than HoN. I tried LoL and first game was 18-0 just by randomly selecting a hero and reading what each skill does.

I'm not sure when's the last time you played but be aware there was an inflation of psr not too long ago. There's a new saying "1600 is the new 1500" and it is very much true from what I experienced. It goes for all brackets from personal experience. If you're way above 1500 skill level though (like you said 1700+) you should have no trouble roflstomping every pub till 1650 ish, assuming 1650 is the highest psr in the match. Just pick a solo mid and go 20-0 for a couple games ;) a lot of us 1700 bought a new acc with the new promo and stomped mid with deadwood hag pebbles devo etc

i que on both solo and team match making, and to be honest find it easier to pubstomp in solo. you know, like going predator mid against ss, ending up with 788xpm and 630gpm. or devo mid and go 21-2 by 30 minutes

the key is to pick heroes who dont need to rely on anyone, and solo mid so only you can make the mistakes

on the chat channel box, to the right you'll see a list of participants in the channel. right above that list there's an "auto connect" check box, it'll let you auto connect to the channel whenever you login.

sigh, i think its about time to say that i have officially quit this game. although i love this game a lot, for the last week and a half i have just been unable to find a good game. either i get stuck with bad teammates (not necessarily bad players, but just a team that is unable to work together and in the end costs us the game), or just games where one side gets stomped so bad that they concede at 15-20 minute mark. although it is fun to win, i don't want to win these kinds of quick games. i find them no fun at all.

i seriously think that s2 needs to take a good hard look at each individual hero and rebalance the entire game. heroes such as tremble and nomad both needing hard nerfs being completely ignored, while they release another new hero who, to be competely honest, is quite useless (i've only seen 1 game so far where someone played her well).

i know people will say "oh just find some friends to play with". i do have friends who i play the game with, but the bad thing is that they cant seem to stick with a game for over a months time. i mean before, they used to be all like "yo lets play hon! get me up to 1600-1700 level!" but now whenever i ask them to play they just "don't feel like it" or are too busy playing some other game. not to mention that some of them are coming back over from LoL (they used to play hon in the beta) and just can't seem to readjust to the things it takes to play hon well.

i'm not too sure if i'm the only one that feels like this, or if there's others out there who share my frustration. hopefully s2 starts listening to what people are saying on their forums and rebalance their game. i know that dota just had quite a big realignment patch with many hero reworks, so maybe hon will follow in their footsteps.

until then, i'm out! lol to be honest it felt good to uninstall the game

Coming from dota i find hon much harder. Maybe its because i dont know what any hero can do. Everything seems faster, skills are unecessarily flashy - look at veno's ult wtf its a giant wave of shit that covers the whole screen. Now i finally understand why the pros hate hon :(
Lets hope dota 2 will have graphics as good as hon but better gameplay.

Played over 2k games HoN, 1500 games LoL and counting. You want a challenge in LoL? play premade's or better yet, ranked. LoL is better imo, but it's all up to the individual.

HoN is unforgiving as shit to noobs, Lol is a little more forgiving. Only thing I wish LoL had from HoN is denying and couriers.

I think MMR is overrated anyhow.

I actually share my account with my noob cousin so I can keep my mmr low enough. High mmr players can be so stupid sometimes. Just because you are 1600+ doesn't mean you can go and trash talk others and they think if you don't have the same mmr as he/she does, you are noob. I mean, wtf?

Plus, when mmr gets too low, good players will just go on a mmr pumping streak... I'm currently doing like 10+ straight win. (thank god for the new BH. :D) Another guy on my frd list was down to like 800, and then two days later, he's back to 1400.

Can't wait for DOTA2 though, I'm sure it's gonna be fun with Valve/icefrog behind it.

I think, hacks aside, I still prefer the balance of Dota and how icefrog takes on balancing items/heroes.

In Dota, you could have all different ways to play a hero (support, tank, carry) but it's more or less defined in HON.

The modification they made to BH made him so imba... I mean... blood sense to both enemy and ally heroes?!? I have played perhaps the last 10 games with it and it takes 3 hero gank to kill BH, two of them being stunners.

Warden is only 'junk' because he doesn't fit into any role of the current meta game. A shitty attack animation, low base damage, and no farming skills.. this makes it tough for him to be the priority farmer in a trilane. There are better solo side laners and he is absolutely not support. He's also slowasfuck, has no mobility skills, and doesn't benefit highly from early levels which means he shouldn't go mid.

He works for low level 2-1-2 pubs because of the amount of harras he can put out in a 2v2. I like to pair him with a semi-carry or carry with nukes.. or anyone that should be taking farm and that has skills that go well with the wolves' slow.

i'm not against new players joining HoN, but S2 really needs to figure out a way to ease them into the game instead of just throwing them into it with 1500 MMR where you can't tell the difference between true 1500 players (who might not be that good anyways lol) and the noobs until you're in game. as a 1650+ player who has to play with 1500's because my friends are in that bracket, it is frustrating. that is all :)

you guys definitely should... believe me i was so against switching over to dota 2. i constantly bitched and nagged to my friends on how shitty and slow the game was but if you just force yourself to play, eventually you get used to it and the delay is barely noticeable.

one thing which made dota 2 bearable was just randoming every game. every game is different and you get to learn all the heroes. Plus the extra 200 gold is a great bonus :p

the next big thing that pisses me off aside from slow / delay in dota 2 is how the map is laid out. hon added an extra passageway @ bottom river, makes running around / ganking a lot more easier than dota 2
