Just a reminder to obey speed limits. Over the past two days I saw 5 places where people were being pulled over.

1. Bottom of the Hill at 72nd Avenue in Surrey getting onto the Alex Fraser (It's 50 all the way down the hill and 60 at the bottom until you are fully merged onto 91.)

The weekend before I was doing 45-50 down the hill, (it was pouring rain), and a huge SUV was tailgating me down the hill. Passed me going about 70-80 when the lane opened up. Out of nowhere he gets pulled over by a police car I didn't even see was stopped on the side of the road.)

2. Heading Northbound into the George Massey Tunnel (The area is 80km/hr -> People were flying in at 110km+ getting pulled over)

I'm pretty sure it was just a normal speeder pull-over but yesterday on Oak st. near marpole an unmarked fusion (I believe) pulled over a guy heading towards Richmond... the fusion took two lanes because his car was parked at an angle like / and the rear crossed the middle lane

What types of mobile phones does Trapster support?

* iPhone
* BlackBerry

Here's another place where you can download POI's for your GPS of red light/speed trap locations. Click me (http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=61154). Seems to be pretty up to date (last update was 10/25 for this list). I use it on my Garmin and it gives an audible alert when you're passing by any of these speed trap/red light locations.

This particular one is for US and Canada but if you go to their Custom POI page, you can get ones for Europe as well as POI's for just about anything you want. (like Starbucks, Mc Donalds, your favourite gas station, etc)

There's almost always a speed trap going towards the US border/Hwy99 at Peace Arch just before the duty free. You can't see them until the very last minute. Every time I drive through there, they've stopped 2-3 cars. I would suggest slowing down as soon as you see the 60km/h sign...

I see it more as, a heads up, where normal people can be extra cautious. I'm sure there are members that got tickets coming down a hill, or simply not realizing the speed limit changes, and getting punished for it.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but watch your speed going down Royal Oak towards Deer Lake Parkway, almost everyday they have a speed trap with tow trucks, flatbeds, and taxi's waiting for excessive speeders. It's pretty ridiculous since the average speed going down that hill for many years has been 60-80km/h and I rarely see accidents happen there. Even police cars not flashing their lights speed past me when I'm doing the limit.

1. Northbound royal oak, going DOWN the hill (very easy to speed on) they'd usually park their cruisers in the little lot near the bottom of the hill where people would access deer lake from, and try to ding people from the side of the road as they are headed down the hill.

2. Southbound boundary, past Imperial/49th. Another down hill that cops loves to hide in this little taxi stop on the side, at the bottom of the hill, with their radars pointed at the Southbound traffic, careful! Because it's extremely hard to see as the road is kind of curved and the sides got bushes, so by the time you see them they would've gotten your speed already.

3. (This is not a speed trap) however it is a very common check point that they like to set up a roadblock at usually over the weekend from 12AM-2AM. It's right between Royal Oak and Gilley Ave on Oakland, there is sort of a S curve through Oakland, in between those two streets, be warned that they are in the middle of the S curve, so by the time you see them they will have seen you, and since both sides of the streets are single lane without any side streets to turn into, so can't really avoid it once you've seen it!
