WWW, I believe, is long gone. Last I checked theyre on XMR, XXS, WRT, XTR, and some others that start around W or X.

I lucked out and managed to find an old stock 000 that a broker kept for a client but he ended up turning it down. You just have to keep phoning and looking. But best to do it soon before they hop over to the new order. Phone places that have high turnover of plates such as places near auto malls.

UPDATE!

Looks like the new BB0-00B format will be coming much later, probably sometime in Q4 2014 or even 2015.

MAA-MXX was originally reserved for Olympics but it never ran the whole cycle. Now ICBC is issuing the remaining M-series in regular plate format.

With the end of the 16th series about to be reached with plate 999-XXX, it looks like backfilling of numero-alpha plates starting with M is being done. This could make 999-MXX the last of the numero-alpha plates with the AB1-23C format to follow.

Gotta call around and see if any broker has a triple # plate and I doubt a broker will hold a plate for you for 2-3 weeks unless you have past dealing with them.

If it helps, most places I called outside of Richmond were still at X** and a few were in the early M** series. There were a couple in Richmond that had MM* but I don't remember which ones they were.

From my previous plate locating experiences, brokers in the same area or within a few blocks from each other usually have a high chance of the same letters. So where exactly did you get yours? would help others narrow down to which area to call.

Pretty sure most places will still have the 000-AAA format in September. A lot of brokers still have a bunch of leftovers from the earlier alphabets in the final series.

X and W series are older than the M series. M is the last batch before they move on to the new combination.

This is because they went into the M reserve that was set aside for the Olympic plates just to keep the run going for a bit longer.

This place most likely still have old format plates, they usually have a bunch of leftovers from earlier letter batches everytime I call.

If not, try going to further places like Chilliwack or Abbotsford. They go through plates alot more slower out there.

Meh. I should have never gotten rid of my 666 plates. Make sure you really like the vanity plate you get, cause I pretty much hated mine the day I picked it up. I've grown to not care anymore, but when I first got them the idea of people thinking it meant FiXED UP annoyed me. As the original intent was actually for the plate to be a twist on "F*CKED UP"

I'm still waiting for them to:

A. Move to 7 letter vanity plates (will probably never happen)
B. Eliminate front plates in BC.

So the new format has been out for a month already and since there isn't much info atm on how these new plates are being released, I have come to the point that ICBC is now releasing plates by the whole letter group instead of the previous distribution method with the old formats, based on my observation with the new plates that I see on the road.

In the past two formats (AAA-000 and 000-AAA), the letter blocks were split into two groups (A-K and L-X) and serves as breakpoints. Therefore, we will see a letter reappear again in the 1st slot/4th slot as the series progress throughout the years.
1st series (alpha-numeric): LAA - LKK, MAA - MKK, NAA - NKK, etc., through XAA - XKK.
2nd series: LLA - LXK, MLA - MXK, NLA - NXK, etc., through XLA - XXK.
3rd series: LLL - LXX, MLL - MXX, NLL - NXX , etc., through XXL - XXX.
4th series: LAL - LKX, MAL - MKX, NAL - NKX, etc., through XAL - XKX.
5th series: AAA - AKK, BAA - BKK, CAA - CKK, etc., through KAA - KKJ.
6th series: AAL - AKX, BAL - BKX, CAL - CKX, etc., through KAL - KKX.

20th series: DA0-00A to DX9-99X
and so on...

I could be wrong as it is still too early to be sure, who knows? maybe ICBC would skip a series later, jump back and fourth or whatsoever?

Finally got the plate I wanted, from Hub insurance @ the Richmond Auto mall. They had it saved for someone else, but didn't want it anymore. Lucky me. Lol

Vancouver/Burnaby- mostly new formats now, maybe a couple of the old ones left at some places
Richmond - old format still available but 99% of the plates have the number "4" in it
Maple Ridge/Coquitlam - old format still available at most places, better selection and combinations

There are still many places with old format plates. Try calling places in Coquitlam and Maple Ridge, the further out east, the more they have.

Call around some of the smaller places. A lot of them have old plates for months after most larger stores are out.

There's an MR2 with a BB# plate I see quite often on Railway, you might want to act quickly if you want a BB6 one. This new format is going pretty quick.

ICBC will not tell you where the plate is. You have to call agencies yourself.
You need a car to buy a plate as the plate is your insurance policy.

Calling around is the only method. ICBC won't tell you which dealers have what. Some autoplan places will make a hold list (the one on 49th and Oak whos name I can't remember).

You will need to tie a plate to a car that is registered under your name. MK3 won't be for a while so youre gonna have to wait a while.

You can try phoning around the province to location with a 250 area code and see if they have it in stock. See if they can ship it down to a sister location (like Sussex Insurance) closer to home.

If you have an exotic car you may be able to get a triple plate from a broker and hand them some money under the table. I believe they call those people VIP. That's what a friend told me when he asked for one.
