so many bugs with the server lists. filters dont work, history/favorites dont work, when you add a server to favorites it shows up as greyed out. Also when you leave a game on a server, and you try to rejoin the server, you cant. It just times out and nothing happens.

Ive left a server and got right back into it

As for the greying out, I think its cause those servers shut down. Cause it happened to me a few times when in game it would say loss connection.

ok i've been playing for most of the day, and 1 major issue i notice is that, when i receive unlocks, such as guns or gadgets etc while in game, and then finish the game, quit the next game, i loose those unlocks because the xp i gained from the previous game is lost. so wtf, is there a proper way to "quit" a game? not sure if this is limited to ps3s, do u guys on other platforms notice this as well?

i have the game in recently launched/start menu, when i click it, it starts steam first before the steam platform asking me to launch bf. what did you pin? like where was your game .exe located?

Well i am glad it is just in game, I recently purchaced a dell monitor and I thought i got a dead pixel :mad:

Also, during cinimatics I still see 1 pixel below the black bar, pretty distracting to say the least.

I should've expected this from dice after my launch experience with bf2 and bf2142.

no my friend and I play all the time (on PC) and I believe the ping thing on the server lists is messed up, it would never show the ping on the server.

For those who are lagging try joining seattle servers, refresh the whole server list and scroll down to s and try and join a seattle server, it worked for my friend and I, we usually had around 274-300 ping on avg before playing on seattle servers, and after our pings were 114-125 on avg, the difference was light and day

I believe the middle column between your K/D and your POINTS is the PING column. The number always changes everytime I press the tab button after awhile, and even when im not earning points. So I think its the ping column. Also when the game gets super laggy, that number jumps to 400-500 for me, which reflects lag.

try using the spot button when you aim your sights and shoot at enemies

at least it gives them the orange triangle over their head so helps you pin point where they are on your sights

also watch some youtube videos, assault classes requires you to shoot in short burst rather than spray

anyways servers came back on today at around 6pm, and its much more bearable for me to play now, the server browser still takes forever to load

For the long server browser load times. Once it starts searching, press CANCEL. then specify some perimeters, like not empty, not full, etc. Then search again. Or do what I do and spend a couple minutes going through the WHOLE server list, and add a whole bunch that stay relatively full and have low ping to your favourites list.

ROFL, I'm so busting out the dartgun tonight.

I just started playing this the other day for 360 and I'm enjoying it. Leveling is a hell of a lot slower then MW2, I think I'm level 8 after 2 nights? I got mortars last night right before I logged off and they seem pretty sick, I'll probably use Recon more now, I've been using mainly assault.

Fun game, haven't really had any issues with it yet. My biggest gripe would probably be not being able to play all game modes on all maps.

All that stuff is done in game anyways, not even steam. All that stuff is connected to your EA account.

If you have the limited edition version, you go into game and go to Multiplayer > Redeem Code.

You enter your code into there and then you go into game. Once you are into a game, at the class selection, expand it and you will see a new pistol, primary gun, tracer dart, and a couple of those vehicle add-on things.

Also a tip that I found the other day by just messing around, not sure if a lot of people know.

We're in tanks quite the bit, killing people, engineer gets out, repairs...repeat. We're pretty much always in the thick of combat.

Now if you get tracer darted, which usually sends tons of rockets your way. You can get out and if someone is an assault class, they can fire their smoke grenade (has to be equipped). That breaks the link between enemy rpg's honing in on your tank. As soon as you pop smoke the link to the dart is gone!

^ Theres always been a leader board, just go to Multiplayer > Leaderboard. I suspect the first guy of cheater, not as in aimbot or anything, but like getting help from friends or something. His stats are way too insane for normal pubbing.


So pro! Now that I've been done all classes for awhile now and the rest is just leveling up to make your e-peen bigger I like to do random things haha. Like just getting in a quad and doing jumps off the sand dunes or flying my helicopter into the enemies helicopter lol. Or c4ing my helicopter and getting out of it while its above a tank and as I parachute down, I set off the c4 when the helicopter lands on the tank.

It's not like I'm king awesome at the game but I'd like to play with people who actually try and complete the objectives. I keep getting stuck on teams where people aren't even trying to capture control points or don't defend the points on those maps.

Maps should only allow a certain amount of sniper classes per game.
Some games are simply ridiculous.

lol, but the fastest way to level up is to either be a medic to heal, assault and get kills, or try getting all/most of your stars (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) and your bigger awards worth 5000pts each, like the get 100 headshots as a marksman, etc.

im barely leveling up now, I just like to have fun and do stupid things like suicide missions. haha

Theres easy ways to level up with ANY class.

Recon
- Spot/aim for marksman headshots
- Mortars
Even if you shoot the guy and he doesn't die, but somebody finishes him off, you get kill assist points pretty easily. Otherwise just spot spam.

Assault
- Ammo box
- Grenade spam
Try to help your team get a good position, and just drop a box of ammo where they are. Go with your team for more resupply points. Just go with the main crowd, or throw them where people will hold a position.

Engineer
- Repair + Squad repairs
- M2 Carl spam tanks
Arica Harbour or any other map with alot of vehicles is the best for this. Just hop on/of and keep repairing. I got 1000 in squad repair points in one game with TOS'd lol
Tracer dart + M2 Carl helicopters/tanks. That map with the islands and Litghhouse. I was defending on the 3rd base and was just M2 carl-ing double kills. I had a guy drop ammo boxes where I was, and I had the rocket ammo+explosive upgrade.

Medic
- Health box
- Revive
- Support with M60.
Pretty simple. Drop health. Run for cover, and pop out to revive. Use the M60. it's the easiest/most annoying LMG. Revive people who don't want to be. Like I do with metal and tos'd lol. You rack up points while they're in a weird spot where they keep getting killed the second they respawn. They might get mad, but fuckit. Free points.

Also, you can use any other classes wepaons and still get points for the class you are. So if you're just trying to get points for new weapons, just find someone who dies with weapons you're good with. If your medic dies, and you're assault or whatever. Drop an ammo box, pick up his shit and revive him. Then drop a health box for maximum points. Pretty simple and effective if you can pull it off.

I think the worst for me is when dieing when i'm out of ammo and get revived, but there is not a assault class in sight nor any ammo pack on the ground. So your one of those idiots that stay in the back and snipe the entire game. Pretty useless and plus it makes your team short a man. You can't say you do a lot as you said you only do headshots but only have a k/d slightly better than one

Atacama Desert Rush is a fucking mess....

as defense, whereever you spawn back on ur turf, u are easily expose from snipers... from their spawn points.. i played 3 games of this last night and the defense was getting rocked, we were getting killed left and right.. its a good map for conquest, but they need to change some of the building placing and stuff..

otherwise smart move for EA/Dice to make it seem like they are releasing new maps through out the entire year where in fact, these maps are already in the game was just locked away..

but with all these complaints i have, its still the most game i play on Steam..
cant wait for BC2 Vietnam, its the first actual map expansions of the game so we might get see new terrain, textures and vehicles..
