Basically you gotta be there to draft your players otherwise yahoo is gonna draft them with their ranking system of the highest player that's left over. Players to draft are the standard of having 2 full lines of players and 2 goalies, as well have having a 4 man bench. You're allowed 50 moves within the whole season with a max of 5. I believe this is the heads up format, where you go head to head for the 23 weeks and you get points based on the categories that you win and pretty much whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins.

Generally, this is true. Last year, my work place pool was a lot of fun to watch because of all the injuries. The guy who had the lead for most of the season only had 8 active players out of 10. He picked Ovy in the first round and picked Henrik Sedin in the fourth round.

It would be nice to have a RS pts pool.

Good goalies are key to winning, you could potentially sweep 5 categories with a good pairing.
I've never seen somebody win a pool with an injury prone goalie, a backup, and one playing in Europe.

As for Huet, I fucked up picking him, but the way I see it I spent my last pick on him so he can sit on my IR in case Chicago calls him up WHEN Turco shits the bed for them. AFAIK he doesn't have to clear waivers to come back... And if I need to use an IR spot I can just dump him.

Huet was shipped over to Switzerland and is not in the AHL... i.e. he has no hopes to play in the NHL this year.

Aaaaaaanyway, Lehtonen is a great goalie, and Dallas is a decent team. If he stays healthy, he'll be good. Also Nittimaki has a better chance of being SJ's #1, and on that team he's another great goalie as a starter.

I also picked up Boucher, since Leighton is injured for the first month. He will have a chance to steal the #1 spot in Philly, and he has good potential too.

Wins, GAA, SV% and shut outs are 4 of the 12 categories on head-to-head match ups.

Potentially lose 50+ points to pick up Tim Thomas or what?

The other categories are Goals/Assists/+-/PM/PPG/PPA/GWG/SHG.

Should I pull the trigger, please let me know quick! Thanks!
