There totally gonna try surprise us when they cut in the Joker footage they didn't use in the dark knight..their trying to keep that under wrap's but watch...you will the Joker make an appearance,it has being confirmed by family members when they were given the "OK" to use the footage.

I'm actually a bit disappointed with Hathaway as Catwoman and the fact that Bane will be in this movie. For some reason, he always reminded me of a cartoon-ish type of villain... and I can't imagine Tom Hardy playing him either. I still can't wait to see the movie tho.

I don't know about you guys but I don't really see anything wrong with Anne Hathaway as Catwomen. Tom Hardy as Bane; his attitude in his previous movies seems to play the role.

Then again, I mean were you guys really expecting Heath Ledger to pull off Joker THAT well?

Anywho, can't wait.

You're saying it's hard to top Dark Knight when the director has directed numerous outstanding films. Inception, Batman Begins, The Prestige....etc etc I'm sure the Cinematography, Sound and Plot will be on par. ;)

Little known facts. Nolan wrote Inception and written screenplays for most of his films. Quite a talent! He will also be the producer for the next Superman.

that was only done for that fail movie in particular.

in the cartoons etc, bane was on his own. ex wrestler, became hired assasin or something.

i really dont mind bane being in the movie. judging from how well nolan portrayed the joker, i can only imagine bane being as "dark", instead of the stupid wrestler/assasin he was in the cartoons.

not really digging the new catwoman though... but i'll have faith in nolan, as he has yet to disappoint ;]

can't say i like the actress they choose for the nolan batman series...first katie holmes now hathaway
i admit katie holmes was pretty weaksauce in begins, but i much prefer to look at her than pitbull faced maggie gyllenhaal. i have no problem with anne hathaway being catwoman. maybe someone like catherine zeta jones fits our expectations better (laser scene from entrapment anyone?) but she's way past prime. hope they at least make hathaway read a bunch of catwoman comics.
i'm excited for bane also. it'll be great if they keep him smart villian, they don't need another simple enforcer. bane from the comics was way more badass than bane from the cartoons

Slightly off-topic, but if Johnny Depp was going to play ANY comic book character, I would say he would be perfect for Gambit.

As for Anne Hathaway being cast as Catwoman, I trust Nolan's instinct. He was able to see her play the role in her audition and she must have done a great job after winning his blessing. Keep in mind that Christian Bale is also a picky actor in whom he chooses to work with. Plus I can picture Hathaway fitting that role quite well.

I really don't mind who the hell gets cast as long as Christopher Nolan is in command.

Alight sir, here it is. I’m doing this on my phone so I’m sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes.

-Trailer opens with studio logos set on top of the blue flame from Dark Knight.

Start panning up some buildings, but to screen card. EVERY HERO HAS A JOURNEY.

Cuts to a shot from Begins with Bruce walking up to that Village when he’s looking for Ra’s

Screen Card: EVERY HERO HAS AN END

Ra’s voice over: If you make yourself more than just a man. If you devout yourself to be ideal. And you become something else entirely. A legend Mr. Wayne….A LEGEND!

Screen Card: THE EPIC CONCLUSION

Cut to Gordon in a hospital bed laying on his side. Looks to be in serious pain. Has A breathing mask on. Is talking to someone.

Gordon: We were in this together, then you were gone…….Now this Evil rises. The Batman…..HAS to come back.(all this is said in a very raspy voice, in much pain)

Bruce/Batman(its not shown who he’s talking to, so don’t know in which form Bruce is visiting him in. My guess would be as Bruce Wayne) : What if he doesn’t exist anymore?

This part is the hardest to understand in the entire trailer, I listened to it at least 10 times but the score is over powering here and Gordon is having trouble talking. It sounds like if says Humor me while trying to laugh. I might be wrong here, full disclosure.

During this quick talk we’re shown a shot of the bat cycle when it drives up the ramp from Dark Knight, Gordon destroying the Act Signal all cut in with the Hospital. As well as super fast flashes of Bane’s face.

Pan up crumbling buildings to reveal the teaser poster, the camera zooms to the white opening and on an all white screen the title appears. The score reaches a fever pitch before turning over to The chanting from the website.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Fades to black and then we see Batman backing away from something, then Bane enters from the left side of the screen. Very quick shot then the trailers done.

Update: Not surprisingly, Warner Bros. didn't release this image for shiggles. They knew that paparazzi and bystanders galore would be snapping shots of the actress (and/or her stunt double) today, straight from the set in Pittsburgh, and they wanted to get a more finessed image out there first.

Hopefully that isn't the final costume.

Remember when The Dark Knight was in pre-production and someone said "I don't know about Heath Ledger as The Joker..."?

Nolan doesn't make terrible movies. He's the Blizzard of movie making. Until he proves otherwise, I'm just going to assume he's right.

IMO Jack Nicholson was a scarier Joker because he just has that type of don't fuck with me attitude in real life. All they did was throw him in a purple suit and paint him.

Also as a little known fact, he was reprised to take on the role of the Joker again after Batman & Robin. The studios were going to make Batman 5 based on the Batman Beyond franchise.

The movie has a $250 million budget, so should be able to buy a new Imax camera.

Ouch, IMO the only thing more annoying to work with on set besides an IMAX camera is a 3D camera and the constant overheating/delays.

I'm curious, do they only have 1 of those blacked-out ML camera cars, or are there like dozens of them and they all happen to be the same model Benz?

It's like whenever there's filming to be done, there's that same car there.

There's a few of them, at least two locally as well. Oddly enough, the ML platform is the best "cheap" option for those rigs, considering both the weight of the rig and the half dozen film crew members they pack into it.

Now admittedly, I don't really know much about Batman or comics, but I was always under the impression that Bane was supposed to be a pretty muscular guy and massive when on his juice, Hardy just looks funny as Bane sized as an average joe. I'm sure they'll make Bane look bigger when on his juice in post but regular Bane just looks funny to me right now.

The voice in Batman begins was good. With technology as advanced as it is in the movie, you'd think that Bruce Wayne could get a voice changer like that movie "Face Off" except it would be ex vivo under his collar or something.

I can't wait for this movie!!! It's going to be great!... but I still think they should have used someone else for Catwoman. I'm not saying Anne Hathaway is not hot or anything I just keep thinking back to Michelle Pfeiffer when she played Catwoman in Batman Returns, she was bad ass yet sexy! I was never a big fan of blondes but damn she looked good! Her costume was pretty neat too however, the costume used for Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City was pretty nice as well :p
I'm not really digging the new Catwoman outfit that Hathaway will be wearing.

Doesn't matter what I think or say though, I'm still going to see the movie and buy the Blu-Ray to add to my Batman collection.

This is what I've been hearing, hasn't been confirmed as the production was under pretty tight wraps, but

Bale's character gets critically injured by Bane at the beginning of the film, then disappears from Gotham as a broken man physically and mentally. This leaves Bane and Liam Neeson's character's (from the 1st Batman reboot) daughter to take over Gotham and cause chaos. Batman's recovery and return to take back the city will likely fit into the title of Dark Knight Rises

I'm sure the studios want him to do another. It's guaranteed money but I don't think Nolan will compromise. He said 3 films. It'll be interesting to see if he ends it well.

i hope its better than how bioware ended mass effect...

Ahhh I can't wait! In a recent article Nolan mentions that the ending in this film is unchanged from the ending he already envisioned when he was starting the 1st Batman. You just can't go wrong with Nolan I'm expecting another epic movie.

Tickets should be available on movietickets.com, cineplex.com doesn't even seem to have any information on it. I can't remember the exact time but I think it was 8AM or 9AM PT.

In Australia, the IMAX website crashed because so many people were opening multiple browsers to buy tickets.
