| detailing service that opens late?
I took off my roof rack today and fml, the pads from yakima scratched my body's paint. It looks like the paint has faded.
recommend me a detailng polishing service around burnaby coquitlam or east van that opens late.
Or if anyone from rs want to help me, shout me a pm

sadly im in richmond else i could look at it and probably do a bit of polishing on it. Driving over to Ken shouldnt be that for tho from coquitlam area.

how deep are the scratches? As for the faded paint it should be easy, however i dont have a polisher, instead i would be doing polish by hand. If you need help, shoot me a PM.

I got a yakima rack as well now I got 4 spots on my roof where the faring was.  I tried polishing but it didn't work it's quite deep. Posted via RS Mobile |

i think the only way to remove it is to wet sand then polish?

Send me a pic. As well, I wouldn't wet sand anything without a paint thickness gauge. Some of the clears these days are dreadfully thin. Have a brand new S4 in my shop with readings under 100 on the trunklid. Scary thin.

Doesn't the Yakima racks come with stick on plastic that you can put on your paint to protect it from rubbing?
I'm not sure if there's any vinyl shops or places that do PPF that can sell you a small sheet that you can cut to size and stick on to where the roof rack will be placed to prevent it from happening again.
I'd say bring it by Ken's shop as well. Have him give you an expert opinion.

Out of storage? You mean a time machine? Looks like its in nice shape. We'd need to see it to give you an accurate quote. Single stage polish would be approx $325. Two stage would be around $495.

but the rubber pads i didn't vinyl, now there are marks on the paint.
my thule rack before didn't have this problem
