I've been asking the same thing but I'm petty sure I remember seeing a preview for it a number of months back, I think it allows you to create games and clans. So you could pick what maps you want to play on and have a dedicated server that you could always join, so you're always joining a familiar one. I've also heard it allows you to pre pay all the content that they will release, like maps. And apparently starting in the new year they're going to release two maps every month for a while...

It's cheaper than buying 3 separate map packs, which you knowww you will, so if it really does pre pay those than it's worth it for that sake alone.

what you're paying for is all the dlc when it comes out next year. usually, there's about $60 worth of dlc in a year (like with black ops), so if you pick up elite, you will get all the dlc slightly cheaper. (save $20 elite bundled in the hardened version, or save $10 from purchasing through psn)

yea apparently its happening to everyone once in a while. The lag issues is getting pretty bad on the ps3. They are aware of this since there are a lot of people complaining on the call of duty forum.

It always happens on ground war. especially on the map mission, arkaden, bootleg (really bad), and village.

currently living at a friends place, so im using a 24inch LED from asus(used to play on a 46inch) and I use a hauppauge hd pvr to record while I'm playing and it saves them to my computer. I play on the ps3.

You're given 100 HP or 100% at full health

Damage: How much each bullet does per shot

Range Damage: How much damage each bullet does at a certain range. Further away = less damage (See how Assault Rifles and Handguns have the same damage close range. But at far range the pistols turn into pea shooters)

Headshot Multiplier: Not all HS are instakills as you probably know. Times each damage value at its correct distance by its multiplier to see how much damage you did. 60dmg x 1.4 = 84 damage

Draw Time: How much time in seconds it takes to swap from something to gun

Mobility: Out of a scale of 100 with 100 being the fastest. LMGs have a mobility rate of 33. Means theyre essentially 3 times slower than a shotgun when running/walking.


Protips for nearly all COD games:

Pressing sprint or quick switching during reloading RIGHT when the number changes shaves a few ms off reload time.

Reloading a semi empty mag takes less time than a loading a fully empty mag because you dont have to cock it.

When you see the supressor removing range from a gun stats; it doesnt mean its reducing the distance it shoots. Its reducing the damage it does at that range. Close range it won't do much of a diff. Long range is when the silencer will need 1-3 more shots.

If you guys wanna earn XP fast, I suggest using the support package with Recon Drone. I play Ground War with it and can call in at least two. I usually end the game with 20+ kills and 20+ assists and on average earn about 7000+ XP per game with match bonus.

i'm still not entirely sure why they put quick scoping back in the game... they could have at least nerfed the aim assist when quick scoping. personally there is absolutely nothing more frustrating then a quick scoper killing you and when you watch the kill cam the cross hairs aren't even on you, but it still counts as a kill.

QS is so weak? Don't know why you say is weak, as in a cheap thing or a noob thing to do. The reason I ask that because QS is not as easy as people think. Every gun can almost overpower the sniper, you only have 1 chance to shoot at a guy before you get killed. Also about those hitmarkers, every gun has their lag.. you just don't notice it as much because is not a single fire.

I get shot through walls by any type of Assault Rifles and SMG all the time. I snipe for fun because it actually takes some amount of skill to do. However, when you're against good teams, sniping will just make you lose.

And I'm not talking about hit marker lag, you're literally firing shots upto a couple feet off and getting the kill. Sniping does take a lot of patience and skill to do right and the Modern Warfare series has never been great for it. The maps are too small and people want the fast paced arcade style gameplay. That's why so many people complained about that map in MW2 that was wide open with all the tall grass, bushes, and junkyard of tanks.... because a good sniper could be right out in the open but destroying everyone that's just blindly running around. Those are the same guys that bitch and moan calling you a camper when you're just being smart. Sniping shouldn't make you lose against a good team. A good sniper is a major advantage, but MW3 isn't setup to cater to sniping at all.

It's totally different sniping in BF3 by comparison and much more difficult because you have to factor in the bullet drop over the huge maps. Hardly anyone does it because they don't have the patience to do it well and be effective.

MW3 has grown on me....I did not like it at the start but with some of the patches and me learning to accept these maps its not to bad....

Or you can flash your router using software from www.dd-wrt.com | Unleash Your Router (http://www.dd-wrt.com), which will allow you to throttle your bandwidth. I've throttled mine down to about a 1-2mb connection going to my ps3.

So with that done, I've fixed any lag that I may have had before, especially on ground war and domination. I've played about 3 hours without any lag at all. Finally, this game is playable now. :fuckyea:

Most people would think that it's better to have a fast connection for gaming which normally it should be, but in mw3, for whatever reason the lag compensation screws it up.

Just try it out. If your router supports QOS, throttle it down to about a 1.5mb upload and 500kb upload.

The past few days I've been playing with zero lag. Ground war is finally playable.

anybody can help me this my problem? it seems that my pc is stuttering everytime during slow motion, car chase, and the remote helicopter, it lags so bad i cant even shoot, it doesnt hang

tried lowest settings and resolution, still doesnt solve the problem
i dont play online, its the offline campaign mode

I hate this so much! The thing that pisses me off more, is when I am being shot I run behind some cover (penetration not possible-thick wall) and still get killed. Watching the kill cam I never made it to the cover WTF!!!!????

latest patch for ps3 seem to have made the lag compensation much worse for me. guess i will have to try to throttle the router and see if that helps.

The game goes by fast and it a cluster F*ck of death....however you earn little XP for each game it seems if you don't stand in the area needed to be captured.

From weapon level 30-31, it took a long time for me. Well just the last few levels in general. I love mowing everyone down with the striker :fullofwin: :troll:

you get 100 exp per kill on your gun and by lv 30 - 31 you should be close to getting your 10k exp challenge completed for it as well. Still takes a while tho :P
