Ok, my friend pre-ordered the game through EB and he's not planning to line up to play asap. Is the exp system for D3 like D2, where up to a certain level, the lower level will still get a decent amount/boosted xp from a higher level? What is the threshold if there is?

Just so everyone knows, the D3 installer is already available to download, so I suggest you start downloading the 7.6GB file now.

to clarify for people that bought a digital copy and are installing as of today. in the beginning it asks you to activate now or if you have already activated. if you bought a digital copy, it is already activated, under your battle.net account diablo 3 should say "active". i clicked activate now because i did not know this and then went on d3 forums to find some answers, then i cancelled the installation. i then re-did the installation except i clicked that i've already activated just to be safe that i dont get fucked over at launch. just a heads up for everyone that was wondering the same thing. 6 hours 30 mins leftttttttttttt :awwyeah:

According to the manufacturer websites, his components require:
CPU: 125 W
video card: min. 500 W

I would go with at least a 850W, assuming he only has 1 or 2 hard drives.
Gives you the option to overclock/upgrade maybe a little down the road.

A good PSU is a component that is more "futureproof" than others, so it's a better investment than a "good" video card.

And as mentioned by ShadowBun in previous post, you won't want the PSU to run at max all the time, doing that will kill the PSU much faster, and the fan will also be HELLA LOUD when you are gaming.

I follow some method on the offical forums and my dl speed went from 41 hours to 2 hours ;D!

Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings > tick the auto lan thingy off !!!

After a terrible first post-launch hour, with players unable to access the servers at all, then tantalisingly let half way in before being booted, the installed and released game was unplayable. And since, ridiculously, there are frequent server drops, instantly throwing you out of the game and back to the login screen. It is, without question, ludicrous.
