LOL lined up at adidas on granville for a good 45 mins at least, 50% off lowest price but most of the sizes were gone, ended up just getting a pair of ransom boots and a $9 after discount tee.

Also ended up getting that head unit from visions for $260 (incl 2 year replacement warranty) it's one of those "if you don't use it you get it back" warranties but 99% chance I'll forget about it... They didn't have it in stock at both the marine drive and burnaby locations but burnaby at least offered to order it in for me. Overall I feel a little raped because the overall service at both locations was horrible, it seems like they hire the trashiest people possible and makes FS/BB staff look like the salt of the earth in comparison. I admit I caught them on probably one of the worst days of the year to be working in retail but still... employees over at FS seemed to handle it fine and every other store I went to today.

I know what you mean, there's a setting to change that. If you play scary ass games or something like Red Dead Redemption it's impossible to see anything when it's supposed to be dark as the blacks are literally black and the contrast is naturally high on plasma's. Then when you change the brightness/contrast it won't look natural. I find plasma's are excellent for movies though. Smooth like a baby's bottom with true colors.

A copy of Kaspersky Internet Security for 20. Grabbed the 16GB Class 10 SD card by Sandisk from Futureshop for 25, then went to Best buy and grabbed a copy of Fast Five for 13. Since I was around the area, I decided to pop into Livestock to check out the sales and got a pair of Puma Dallas for $50.

Went home, forgot I had to go to Imperial Hobbies. Jumped back in my car and drove to Richmond. Curse throughout the whole time while I was driving on No.3. Finally got to Imperial hobbies, place was a Zoo and they ran out of Tamiya side cutters/snippers. :okay: Left that place then went to Staples then Ikea.

Spent 20 mins looking for parking at IKEA. People don't fucking obey the arrows when they're in the parking lot so i was raging like a mad cow. While i was looking for parking I saw Diggy. Was quite amused with his hair still in the signature shape while the rain was falling down hard. Anyway, bought 2 fucking hot dogs and a drink. :fuckyea:

ahh yes... I HATE that. All the new tv's have a "realistic" setting. Or a "smoothing" setting. Turn that isht off and it's way better. I got a headache from my TV until I figured out how to turn it back to a regular one.

Different strokes, different folks. Playbook does web surfing better than Ipad's especially with flash support. For those that have a Blackberry, adding the Playbook tablet with the bridge function is perfect, no need for wifi or additional data plan and all your berry is bridged to the tablet. Also for those that use their berrys and/or Playbooks for work, RIM encryption is far greater than any other and the smaller size of the Playbook makes it easier to carry around for work.

There are some things that the Playbook doesn't do as well as Droid or Apple tablets, ie.. Apps, but every person has a different need. I have 4 Playbooks now, mostly for work, we tried using the IPads for work but they were a disaster and tossed them. I also have a Touchpad and Transformer and I'd say Playbook and Transformer are my favorite ones.

I'd consider the playbook now as they dropped the price. When I first saw it in stores, it was within $100 of the ipad, and I knew it to be doomed.

We can sit and debate about what tab is better, but in the minds of average consumers there is ipad on one side, and everyone else on the other. Not a bad position for apple to be in. Kudos.

But seriously, for $200 you are in an entry level playbook, that as it has been pointed out, could tether to your bb phone. Not a bad deal. If I'm walking out the door with a near or $500 tablet, its gonna be an apple or transformer.

I just got an ipad2 not that i don't know toher tablets out there. Just that itune have a lot more free sowftware and is super easy to find the programs u need. Other tablets do have something like itunes but not as much software and some of them is hard to sort.

Also with Ipads their resale values stays pretty high vs Playbook or other tablets. If I do ever want to sell I cans till get a decent amount back.

If you can find another tablet for $200 that works as well as the Playbook does then please let me know. Otherwise stfu please it's like saying why is everyone buying corolla's when there's better cars like BMW's out there. You need to understand that while the Playbook may not be on par with some other tablets it still does what it provides well and for some people that's all they need. Plus the fact that not everyone has $500+ to just fork out on something. I swear some of you idiots spend your days searching for Playbook threads and come in and just shit all over it. Honestly, I'm finding 3 TVs isn't enough, I'm always trying to keep track of at least 4 or 5 games at once on Sundays, maybe a sign I'm in too many football pools and bets? lol fuck.

I watch on two tv's stream from my computer and sometimes have a game on my playbook. Gotta love fantasy football and better the g/f can't stand sundays so good thing she doesnt have a say

Another thing to remember is the Playbook was not intended to be a $200 tablet. I wouldn't have ever paid it's initial asking price, but for $200, I can take it as it is and be very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought the $799 47inch LG 3D LED TV yesterday after thinking about it all week. Now I'm having second thoughts because I just remembered I'm spending the next two months house sitting and wont be home to enjoy it.
