Don't forget the duct tape around the edges.

As long as you're not cooking the paint off... who cares?

This is the first time I've ever heard of somebody wanting to retain under hood temps.

Did u mean dynamat? More for audio setups though. Any audio shops has them, even best buy.

Otherwise if specific heat shield then:

It's cos it's fucking up the paint on the hood

What's the cause of the excess heat? Stock little motor with stock paint on the hood isn't going to have issues. So what have you changed?

Btw my old Prelude hood steams in the rain, never been an issue

Otherwise if specific heat shield then:
HP Heatshield Mat | Heatshield Products (http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/productdetail/heat-shields-and-thermal-barriers/hp-heatshield-mat/76/21)

DO NOT USE SOUND DEADENING.

It will melt off, cause a huge gooey mess. It is meant for sound proofing, not heat proofing.

Cascade makes thermal products
Car thermal Products (http://www.cascadeaudio.com/automotive_audio_enhancement/thermal_car_products.htm)

I'm pretty sure every car hood steams in the rain after a short drive. Mine does. Mine even has the heat shield from factory.

DEI makes them but I don't think they sell specific kits for specific cars. They're quite pricey though.
