If you're new, play co-op games until you hit around level 15. I believe there isn't a penalty in terms of XP/IP gains when you play co-op during your first few levels.
Try every single type of champion that's free on rotation until you find one that you like, refer to Solomid or Mobafire for builds

Buy wards.
Last hit minions.
Turn on smart-cast in your key bindings, then you're good to go.

I believe the max is 8 members per team.
We can make a couple ranked teams to include everyone, we already got enough 30's to create 2 teams.
It would be much better if we know who can specialize in which roles so each of the RS teams are balanced out (at least one person for each role)

Gragas is the best ap atm unless u vs a morde. he's already nerfed i dont think he will be nerfed again

Kayle counters every single mid and top :) (Gragas, Darius, Zyra, Ahri, Irelia etc; basically all AP bursters, all tanks, all tanky dps, except another Kayle...)
Insane DPS, a slow that helps you inflict bonus damage, low mana costs, great scaling on items, perfect last hits (no moving missile animation), sustained, being unkillable with ultimate
Just building Wit's End and Malady snowballs you out of control and building MR doesn't even counter her since she has a armor/MR shredding passive...

Works in jungle too, amazing clear times

never vs'd kayle mid. saw her jungle capability with a stun mid its almost instakill who ever he ganks

The only other counter to a Kayle mid that I can think of is an AP Cho (I never played against one but it's from my experience as I play AP Cho as well)
AP Cho played properly can take out an entire health bar by level 11 with one combo (I run Ignite and build a Deathfire's Grasp to secure kills)

The cc, scaling on the spikes and scream is amazing, on top of true damage with less than a minute on CD

Gragas outplays most champs that don't have a sustained burst. I do agree with the fact that he has amazing damage and it's always hard to play against him in lane. His laning is very safe, sustained and even the junglers will have a hard time catching him due to his gap closer

The most underrated mid champ that is pretty good is swain...

I play gragus mid too, but counters also depend on how well you play a champion. You can get countered by a shitty player and still win , vice versa. As for AP cho, it's very viable, especially if you HK abyssal etc. if you watch some high ELO solo queues, you can see some insane mid champs. I.e. Janna, lulu, soraka mid. If you want to watch streams I suggest NYjacky or bigfatlp( he rarely streams though)

sup LoL players, im just really curious about something... please i mean no offense but I personally dont really know much LoL players so i guess asking here would be the best i can do.

Why do you guys play LoL? if you're into the moba genre LoL is like the carebear version of moba. I've been told the game was designed to attract kids... and the difficulty was tweaked so its easy enough for noobs to catch on... the graphics are not that great compared to HoN or dota 2, so why LoL?

Is it cause your friends play LoL? Have you guys tried playing HoN? or Dota 2?

I used to have a lot of dota 1 friends back in the day and it seems like all the bads moved onto LoL, whereas the people who could actually play moved onto HoN or dota 2?

Played dota 1. Then that kinda died down.... Then from what I understand, people moved into HoN or LoL and LoL kind of owned HoN in terms of development. Just stuck to LoL afterwards. It's a good game, it may look really cartoony but it's really strategic and takes quite a bit of skill once you play longer..

I tried both HoN and LoL and had quite a bit of friends on both at the time, but LoL's development attracted me more. The game might seem like a dumbed down version of dota, but its probably because most people who say that never bothered to get to lvl 30 and experience the high level plays.

The thing I hate and love most about LoL is that a shut down player can come back late game if farmed with cs. But the one thing LoL has that dota and hon didn't were girls. I know too many girls who play this game lol

I played Dota 1 for many years. Then reluctantly switched to HON because it was tough to find a game in dota. I trashed on LOL for the longest time before I actually tried it. LOL is alo more friendly compared to other games especially HON. The attitude of HON players is horrible.
Also it's tough for a single player to dominate the entire game in LOL. It's much more team based. I remember just smashing the shit out of entire teams in DOTA.
I tried DOTA 2. I might go pback and play this soon, but it takes 1000000 years to find a game.

You actually get somewhat of a rank matching system, so you actually get some teamwork compare to dota 1 in wc3.

It all depends on who you play with/against.
If you have play an inhouse game in dota with any decent players, it is as teamwork base as LoL.

I think LoL is a much easier game..
Anyone can contribute to the team easier than Dota/2 making it more causal..

Either way both fun games, never tried HoN tho

this is the first case ive ever seen someone play hon and trash LoL, but to switch over to LoL and enjoy it more. And you're right about the player attitudes in HoN. its a dog eat dog world, if you bad u gonna get flamed, if they bad youre gonna bitch out.

for the record i'm the biggest HoN fag around. ive tried playing dota 2 and its just wayyyyy too fuckin slow compared to HoN, and for LoL just by looking at the gameplay videos i get way too turned off to even try. If i jump ship to LoL now i'll just be a bandwagoner. Sticking with HoN till i grow old of moba's (ive been playing moba games for almost 10 years now and i still itch hard for a good HoN game :badpokerface:)

the trash talking etc totally takes away from the game. You shouldn't be getting all wored up and bent out of shape over a game.
One this that LOL did that is so awesome is disable all chat. The game is completely different now. Way more productive teams and just better sportsmanship in general.
All it takes to de-generate a game in HON is a single comment. Nice build noob....then its pretty much name calling central... oh yah,, let's solo.. solo me then.... wahh wahh... can't take playing with 12 yr olds.

Haven't touched this game for a week, but man is this game full of terrible people. They are the angriest, rudest group of people I've seen online, and I've played counter strike for years.

They love to push blame, mock team mates, and berate others for the whole duration of the game. And you can tell that they're not trolling and are emotionally charged about it too.

And whenever the team does well, the team mates start jerking each other off saying they are so good and make such good plays. A simple 'nice gank', or 'good job' will suffice, no need to get creepy. I guess to someone who only started playing these dota-type games, it's a completely different crowd compared to fps.

There's no middle ground for these players, it's either intense anger, or extremely creepy.

So to all players, please remind yourself it's only a game.

The best part about this game is that you can tell how close they live to you from their pings.
