Heading south bound on knight on October 26th around 8PM, I found this dog limping into my lane from the opposite side of traffic.
I was able to safely get him into my car without any additional injuries.
Drove him to 41st and Fraser animal hospital and the vet there basically said they cant do anything since im not the owner, and they are assholes.
So I took him to the SPCA on 4th and Fir where he got immediate medical attention (he looked like he had a broken hind leg and a busted left eye).
If you recognize the dog, please contact the owner.

good on you... private clinics won't do anything because someone has to pay the bill. the dog had no tag or any tattoo? probably owned by an asian family that thinks a pet is an accessory and doesn't properly id the poor animal

Some pet owners....smh....I don't get it.I don't think thats very fair to say in this situation. Dogs are off leash all the time, and even the most well trained dogs may get distracted. For all we know the owners could be scouring the neighbourhood worried sick. Its not like we know the dog isn't chipped and already reunited by the time this was written.

If you don't have a tag on your dog, you're a stupid owner...

Bold statement, since some dogs/cats hate collars and have the ability to get them off through various means/techniques.

Some people think a chip is enough. I'm not one of those people, but some are. Regardless hopefully the dog is either healing up with his family, or someone else who can take care of him if they are in fact idiots.

If your dog has the ability to take off his collar, you're doing it wrong........

will the spca label this guy as a stray and put him up for adoption?
this is a long shot but what if you went back to the neighborhood you found the dog and see if there are any dog missing posters that have been put up?

Yes, i believe they will mark him as a stray if no one comes forward.
If the owners are looking for him, they would be able to find him easily.

Any update on this poor doggy? :crybaby:
Good on you man; looks so sad!
Might be worth checking the area for lost dog posters, no point jumping to conclusions about how it got lost, might have just run away or something
