Dunno about the Corgi but for Daschunds, look to the US.

I got my corgi from the pet store at metro, because at the time, there were no breeders.
However there is one in Quesnel, but was very shady when I inquired.
I think there's a litter in New West right now.
My gf follows an instagrammer who is in Vancouver, and she instagrammed a pic of a litter of corgis that were for sale in New West.
Will update if I find out more

I picked up a Lab pup in Arlington WA last year.
Pup was up to date with shots and documentation so no bother at the border.
You pick up the documents with the pup.
If no documents will be available or they don't seem to know their business then move on.
From experience I avoid shipping animals.

2gs to BUY a dog. Thats fucked. Let me translate that ad.
We bought a cute puppy for 1500 dollars, now hes older and people don't come up to us at kits beach and compliment us as much anymore. We invested money into keeping him healthy so now hes worth more than what we paid. Looking for a small profit and to reinvest the money in a new puppy. My loss is your gain. If you give up your dog after a year, you better give him away for free to the best fucking home you can find. Sorry for the tangent, but people like that make me fucking sick.
As for some helpful advice. I have a friend who got her staffy from a breeder in oregon, and basically everything was taken care of to the point of just showing up at the airport, picking up their pup and heading to animal control to register him. Its very dependant on the breeder though so call around and speak to them individually. My landlord adopted a corgi locally from one of the surrounding areas animal control, but they are a very desirable dog due to their relaxed nature and easy to handle size, so it was really just down to luck. Consider visiting some shelters, you may very well find someone you really want to take home regardless of breed because you just "click."

I paid 3g for my corgi.
If we found a breeder, we would've went to one.
I see that a lot more often now sadly... living for the puppy stages and passing it on when it's no longer cute.
You'd be super lucky to find a corgi at a shelter. I remember one of the spca's had one, and it was adopted the same day, or first day it was available for adoption.
By the way, that New West litter I told you about? Turns out it was two months ago..sorry man.
Like I said, there's one in quesnel but they were sketchy when I called.
Told me they didn't have a recent picture of the parents available for me, and that the mother was still pregnant and they wanted a few hundred in deposit, and they would get back to be when they were ready to be shipped out....no thanks.
Good luck in your search

I don't know why you'd be worried about "shipping" a dog, other than the fact you can't interact with them before the adoption/purchase process.
Its not like they throw them in a cardboard box and put them in a mailbox. Even my dog was "shipped." He was pulled from a reserve and put in shelter in smithers, B.C. then they flew him to vancouver so he'd have a better chance at adoption. Any breeder or rescue worth their salt takes the utmost care in sending their animals to new homes. Common sense will usually prevail when talking to them wether they are someone you can trust, if not don't work with them.
There's a couple of them that I follow on Facebook

Be careful of backyard breeders on Kijiji. There's TONS of them on there
All 3 of the groups I've linked actively post and update their websites and Facebook pages. I think I got introduced to Dhana Metta Rescue Society when I read a post from Soundy. If possible, please do try and adopt a dog. Look through those 3 groups and you'll see that there are a ton of absolutely cute dogs just waiting for someone to take them home

it not the initial price you pay for the pup, some people pay way more than that. It the fact that the dude in the ad bought the pup a yr ago when it was cute a cuddly and want to offload it now that it isn't AND want to make a profit on it as if its a limited edition LV bag.
unlike bag dogs get attach to their family and is a family member first and foremost. cost of REQUIRE upkeep does not contribute to their value. You can't even sell a brand new car for more than its worth after a year why anyone thinks puppy increases in price just because they keep up with their shots is mind blowing

+1 for DMRS - we're fostering a dog for her right now (he goes to his new forever home this weekend), she really cares about the dogs and making sure they find the right home. She has a couple of Doxies in right now, including a gorgeous longhair named Franklin (I'd SO take him if I had the room!)

I looked on petfinder and don't see any pics of Franklin.
Do you know if they have it posted anywhere else?

Yeah, Petfinder has been really troublesome the last few months so it may not be updated. Could check her FB page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/18136122526/ - actually, I'm not sure if Franklin is up for adoption yet... I'd say contact her through the FB page and ask what she has for available stubby dogs :)

Occasionally, they will have it at pet habitat. Maybe check out the store and ask if they get you one.
Otherwise, try this site.

corgis are quite popular and high in demand. it will be hard to find one in a shelter. have you tried looking online for other shelters?
i've heard of some good breeders but they are either in alberta/portland/cali

CRS, good luck with your search.
Corgi's will more often than not get adopted the day they arrive at an SPCA, which is rare enough as it is.
Breeders are far and don't always have available pups.
We ended up getting ours at the metrotown pet store. Ya we overpaid and and there's always criticism against buying from pet stores, but at the end of the day it was the only place that had one available and it was the exact color my gf wanted.
Try asking here or going to one of their meets. Me and my gf go a few times a year.
