So ended up finding a server last night that famous "twitch" streamers use. I was in their TS when someone came on saying "Goldglove" is here and streaming blah blah blah. So i googled goldglove and low and behold there he was streaming away with almost 10k viewers. So I did what any normal person would do. Started stalking him via the stream. It's not as easy as I thought since there's a 45 sec delay but I ended up finding him twice. Once I hit him with an Axe which should have killed him (had already killed a few people with one axe hit) but it didn't.. then his buddy got me with a hoe. Damn I'm rusty... haha.

It's so different now. You get cold so you have to wear a jacket, or you will die. Lots of new weapons. Twice the number of zombies. But you can (usually) lock them out of a house by closing the door. And everyone plays in cherno/electro. So I have no idea where I'm going.

The original Mod for Arma II is way better than the stand alone. Overpoch is alot of fun, got a server runnin out of Chicago. I can provide the address to my server if anyone is interested.

Have both and I have to disagree the hacking in the mod is far worse then in the standalone unless they've improved the detection and done something to stop fix it which is possible as I haven't fired it up in a long while.

When I was playing the Mod you'd have people teleporting all over basically in God mode it was fucking retarded.

SA isnt full of that many hackers, and the times we did encounter them, they were easy to deal with whether that meant killing them(hacking for unlimited ammo) or calling them out(glitchers) or even just moving to another server(they steal the items off your back). Nothing like the hackers in the mod.

On that note, anyone still playing SA? I want to get back into it, lots of new things in .49 with .50 around the corner as well.

Yeah, we've run into a fare share of hackers, but that's why we got our own server going, if we see someone hacking we just ban them. The stand alone, is half the game of the mod. If it improves and gets more popular, the hackers will find a way and show up there too.

Might as well buy it now Vansterdam as the price is just going to keep getting higher as they continue making the game.

I'm pretty sure I've only seen it on sale once, and Steam put it on sale without the devs knowledge.
