I'm sad to say I had to put down my cat of 16 years Ben last night... It's honestly one of the hardest things I have ever done and I'm beyond heartbroken right now...
He's a one of a kind pet with a personality like no other animal I have met before. He used to steal steaks off my plate if I wasn't looking, washing his paws in the toilet after using the litter box and would come when I whistle every single time..
I will miss you Ben R.I.P

Fucker got into a new bag of catnip in Nov... He could get into anything if he wanted, tried opening doors as well.

Of course he has to use the litter box while I'm trying to clean it....

Sorry to hear this. It's always nice to hear when a cat lives a long joy filled life, and then is allowed to leave in peace with their beloved family by their side.
I'm so sorry, reminded me of my cat :( RIP Ben.

Thank guys, it really sucks and was the hardest thing I have done in my life. Seeing your buddy like that hurts so much. I still have another cat Inca who is 14 and she loved him to death. I just hope she's going to be ok with him gone now :(
Rest in peace Ben. Im sorry to hear about your loss its always hard when your pet passes away. I hope your cat Inca will be okay with all of this

losing a pet must be devastating. i cant even imagine when its my dog's time.
he just blew his right acl last month and it was $4500 . Fuck the Work wheels and future turbo kit, my car wouldn't be the same without him sitting in the back .
Coping with a loss like that is like an anvil on your back, painful and makes you want to drop on your knees and tear up. Sorry for you loss dude.

For someone not to lose pet before you said it exactly how it feels but it feels worse. You can't put a value on your love for a buddy and it sucks when the time comes.
I picked his ashes up today.. Fuck I thought i was over it being some emotional :(

Thought I'd commented on this before but I guess I was a little distracted at the time with Taffy :QQ:
I've had them go on their own, and I've had to get them put to sleep... it's never easy. Even when they drive you up the fucking wall and you're ready to wring their necks every time they piss in the middle of the floor or something... it's still a dagger to the feels when it's time to actually end it.
Hope Inca is doing okay... I know animals can get really attached to each other and get pretty upset when their buddies leave them and they don't know why.
It does get better over time, as you come to terms with the fact that you did what you thought was best for them... really, it does.

Thanks Soundy I appreciate it... Inca has been doing ok but super lonely, I come home and she cry's for a bout 30mins since shes always been a very vocal cat. I find the hardest thing being going away for a night or two and shes home all alone and I feel like shit about it.
She doesn't want to leave my side when I'm alone, sleeps next to me every night now and if I kick her off the bed she jumps right back on and cry's in my face giving me shit.
I do agree that no matter how much a pet drives you crazy, its worth it for the love they give you and it sucks missing those little things.
It's one month today dammit and still hurts :(

Never understood pet owners until I got a dog of my own. Dogs/Cats are one of few beings that can love unconditionally
