It's scary to see how many people can be manipulated so easily especially in an age where information is literally at our fingertips.


The problem is there is too much information/disinformation that is just thrown out. Every mainstream media seems to have some sort of agenda and non mainstream media often attempts to sensationalize things in an attempt to get more viewers, and then you have some bloggers that just throw out their opinions and others take it as fact. If people actually held their news sources accountable things might change but we move on to the next topic before really examining things.

I always find some people's outright dismissal of "mainstream media" amusing, considering that entity encompasses both CNN and Fox News, which exist at nearly polar opposite ends of the political spectrum, as well as pretty much everything in between. You'd think even CiC would find at least one "mainstream media" outlet that supports his... uh... views.

There's been a huge number of satire sites that lack the clever diction of The Onion and, therefore, get passed on as truth through the social media conduits. Let's not even get into the far left and far right 'credible' websites.

Not sure how Turkey gave them warnings to exit while the pilots weren't even in their airspace. 10 warnings over 5 minutes sounds like a lot but if they were in Turkey for a maximum of 30 seconds possibly less I think Turkey is at fault unless the Russians bombed something while in their territory.
