who brings their dog out to have their teeth cleaned? if so where do you go and how much does it cost? also do they use anesthesia?

my dogs 2 years old now and i normally brush her teeth but the back teeth is really hard to get to and i dont want an issue in the future but i am worried about the anesthesia.

thanks for any advice.

Pretty much most teeth cleaning done at a vet will require the dog to be under anesthesia. The only one I know of that doesn't put the dogs under is K9 Gentle Dental

I use Pampered Pets... They are based in Delta, however they come out to Bosleys Pet store in Terra Nova (Westminster and no 1) and I think Ironwood too once a month or something.

I think the result is decent, I go back usually 3 to 6 months for cleaning.. The price is also reasonable too.

I used them once when I brought my dog in for a cleaning but the girl that was working on him called me back and said he needed to go get it done at a vet because he had a lot of plaque build up. I always came away from that with a good experience, because they could've easily just cleaned it to the best of their abilities and pocketed my money. I appreciated their honesty and I think that also shows in their ability to stand behind their work. They didn't want to take in a customer that wouldn't benefit (as much) from it because it'll only damage their rep.

If you go to their calendar/schedule link of their website then you'll be able to see where they are for each day. I think they also do in-home cleaning but that will likely incur an additional cost.
