Our house has traditionally had two dogs, one elder learning from the new pup until the cycle repeats. A few years ago we gave a home to a beautiful Australian Shepherd that was posted through RS here and we cared for her until she passed from old age a year ago.
It seemed time once again to think about adding another pup to the clan, so today I happened to notice an ad for a German Shepherd cross and thought I would quite like to see the pups. Well, only one was left and it looks more like a Beagle cross other than her strong Shepherd legs. Her temperament is amazing and I am surprised she was the last pick of the litter, so I knew what was going to happen next...
She was coming home with me.

Of course, my sons were excited to no tomorrow.

Regardless of breed, I think she's cute as heck and I'm very happy with finding her to add to our family. I prefer mutts, all of my best behaved and family-loving dogs have been mixed breeds.

So I know what I'm doing for the next 15 years and I'm happily looking forward to it. :fullofwin:
