never played the first one...i'm just gonna wait cause im busy with black ops 4 and see how long till a pc verison comes out.
I never played the first one either but I'm looking for a copy now. I don't know why I never played it. I remember playing a Western themed FPS on my PC way back in the day that I loved. I can't remember the name at all but I had good value out of it.
Edit: I think it was called Outlaws and looking back at it, wow games have come a long way lmao.
original RDR is a must-play...there's so few Western games and the world was unparalleled when it came out in 2010; mind you, the graphics has not aged that nicely
didn't realize this is a 50h game and 100GB install
not typical of Rockstar but sounds like it's really worth it
the Digital Foundry video posted above suggests best to worst One X > PS4P > PS4 > One S which makes sense given the One S is so crap by 2019 standards with base PS4 not much better...but all can dip to 25 fps in one cutscene
Pre-ordered this game on Amazon over a year ago and got an email saying that it would not be delivered today. Picked it up at Best Buy instead with an old gift certificate I had lying around and paid almost the same price as I did without the Amazon pre-order discount. Not the first time Amazon didn't deliver on the release date. Needless to say, I won't be pre-ordering anything from them anymore, especially since they went from 20% discount, to 10% discount, and now there's no longer any benefit to pre-ordering with them entirely.
sucks that online multiplayer inst available yet... fyi to those that don't know. But I guess it gives me a chance to play the game and get familiar with the controls. Super excited about launching it tomorrow!

Same thing happened to me and a lot of people on RFD. I've shocked at the way Amazon handles it. "Yeah, we took your order but now we're gonna fuck you over cause you didn't preorder anywhere else so fuck you"

GTA 5 didn't go on sale for what seemed like a year or two, so you're probably gonna be waiting awhile.
I would say that this one of the games that is definitely worth the $79.99 price tag. The amount of detail in just about EVERYTHING is insane. I don't think there is currently any open world game that could compare.
I went to a buddy's house yesterday, and he was playing this.
It's a great looking game. The worlds are detailed, and it's a more polished version than the original RDR. I found the controls a little choppy, but it could have just been me. It's been a long time since I played RDR.
I made the mistake of pointing my bow and arrow at the photographer in one of the early missions. He got away, and I got hit with a $240 bounty. While I was getting out of there, I killed a random without my mask on, then another, then another! Murder is a slippery slope.....
My buddy came back from the washroom and was now wanted dead or alive. He had $300 in his jeans. His bounty by the time his bathroom break was done? $280
While the chance of success varies case-by-case, players have reported making up to $15000 at a time through the glitch, which is found in a loot box at the burnt out sheriff's office in Limpany, north of Flatneck Station. It's likely that Rockstar will patch this out as soon as the studio is notified of the issue, however, so anyone looking to make the best of it ought to start now. Here's how to do it.
First, disable the autosave system from the main menu and open the loot box under the sheriff's table, but don't withdraw the gold bars found within. Instead, as Arthur bends down to grab the bars, pause and manually save the game, before entering the new load you've just created.
Now head back to the loot box, and you'll be able to pick up the bar repeatedly without it vanishing upwards of 30 times, and each bar will sell for $500 at the local Fence at Emerald Ranch, netting a possible grand total of $15000. Sadly, anyone who's already looted this box previously won't be able to make use of this glitch, and some have said that doesn't work at all on certain platforms.
Either way, this is mad money for anyone lucky enough to come across the technicality, as you'll be able to buy a stable's worth of horses just by running the scam twice in a row. If you're more of a Red Dead Redemption 2 purist who doesn't want to cheat the system, I'll understand, but anyone else is free to go to town on it, before Rockstar closes the loophole for good.
