I have nothing against drag queens even though it is not my cup of tea. But if this sort of event can be held at a public library, then I'd say -- as one of the commenters have mentioned -- public libraries should also invite strippers and burlesque dancers to hold events at public libraries. In particular, to mirror the "red lump" dropping to the ground incident, a fake sex act should also be staged in a hyperbole type of manner. Otherwise, where is the equality in society???

This is just insanely absurd. I hope the Coquitlam Public Library get slammed for it big time, and whoever approved the event gets his a$$ fired.

Men wearing dresses and makeup isn't a big deal on the surface, but there is a very fine line they have to be careful not to cross. Drag is inherently adult in nature, as it takes adult female attributes and amplifies them. An aside - I'm not sure why women are so accepting of drag as it seems to mock them, like those trans women talking about the pain of period cramps.

Anyways, parents and adults should be concerned at least, given there are numerous examples of children being exposed to inappropriate behaviour.

I don't think it's accurate to group all drag queens into "adult entertainers" just as not all pole dancers are strippers/adult entertainers. Went to IHOP at about 8:30pm purely cause my little 2 year old loved the pancake commercial, so me and the lady took her there. When our food came the waffles were cold, the bacon also, as well the eggs were not warm either also they weren't over easy like we asked. Tryed looking for the busy lady but ended up giving up cause we were just too hungry and she wouldn't come around. We told her about it when we caught her attention, Wasn't about to wait for new food at this point being too hungry (i'm sure we can all relate). She told her manager (some stupid asshole young kid about 20yrs old) and was told we can only make you new ones, thats it. it was mostly eaten after. I was pissed off at this point, so continuing to argue to basically a wall i got no where. So i ended up deducting a few dollars of my own ($2.00, i thought was more than fair) and said "this is all i'm paying, you're suppose to serve food at a proper temperature and i we were COMPLETELY unsatisfied". What is the law regarding this? If a customer is given completely unsatisfactory food and horrible service are they obligated to pay if no satisfaction is met? This was THE WORST manager i've ever met at a restaurant, complete asshole. I would have been satisfied w/ even a 15% discount, and not even that was offered.

uh actually yes they are. I dunno if you've lived in the USA/CANADA/UK in the last little while, but pronouns are a thing in most corporations, and schools, and the military, you will be punished for not using them.

in the USA they enforce it on the kids in school and hide it from the parents so that the parents have no knowledge or influence over the kids.

they enforce it in women's competitions where they allow ex-men to compete with women and completely destroy them. it's forced down everyone's throats. they share the same changing rooms too. men with full ding dongs hanging out in women's washrooms in front of all the women.


in the jobs I've had in the past 10-20 years, you can literally feel the enforcement of it with endless training and education and special preference and treatment, trying to change the narrative as much as possible to fit what is expected of "current normal society".

then in the backrooms and secret groups, the whisperings of "what the fuck is happening" spreads, but no one can say it out loud cuz they're too scared of getting targeted by the woke police.

Even my friends with young kids going to public school say the kids have a list of sanctioned items, and only those items can be brought to school. specific crayon brands... etc etc. because no kid can have more privilege than another kid. they want all kids to be equal. what, the, fuck?

So just cuz I can afford a japanese mechanical pencil for my kid, he's not allowed to use it? he's gotta buy some fucking sanctioned BIC pencil like all the other kids?

you know what that sounds like? the military. militarization of schools, indoctrination of these ideas which are forced and you cannot opt out or speak out against it.
