Crazy trailer, Rockstar knows how to do it and I couldn’t have imagined a better trailer tbh lol. This game has easy potential to be the goat if the story is AAA
Red dead 2 is in my top 5 all time games and it’s mostly because rockstar does such an amazing job at making an immersive world. Everything feels alive and each Npc interaction is unique etc.
Whereas I found both CyperPunk and Witcher 3 from project red to he fairly lifeless and the world feel dead. I’m sure they will do everything in their power and come up with all sorts of unique shit for GTA6

After only 13 hours the GTA VI trailer has surpassed the record for most views on a YouTube video within 24 hours (Non Music Video) with over 61 million views.
Plenty of hugely hyped games have burned people who have preordered in the last few years. Plus in the age of high speed digital downloads there's no real benefit. It's not like the old days where you had to get on the list at EB Games to get a physical copy at launch or risk waiting ages for the next shipment.

people preordering just normalizes developers not feeling the need to launch a polished and completed game. im sure rock star will deliver a good game since they are planning to milk this cow for another decade but it just sets a precedent that it's ok to release dog shit since people will pay for it in advance anyway.
The only time I pre-order is when the game is from a big publisher and they're giving some pre-order exclusive. Otherwise I'm usually on the 'don't pre-order' camp.
A giant blockbuster game like GTA 6 should be safe to pre-order - it wouldn't make financial or PR sense for Rockstar to risk botching a launch and generating bad press for the gaming world and mainstream media.

A giant blockbuster game like GTA 6 should be safe to pre-order - it wouldn't make financial or PR sense for Rockstar to risk botching a launch and generating bad press for the gaming world and mainstream media.
It also didn't make PR sense for Cyberpunk to release in the state it did as well. Just better to be safe.

Smaller studio, less employees, smaller budget etc. they aren't on the same level.
Rockstar basically makes two games at this point and they don't miss. Preorder, don't preorder, but this is about as safe of a bet in the videogame industry as you're going to get.
