Integra fell through when they tacked on $14k+ of mandatory accessories. They wouldnt budge and I wasn't paying $89k for the car

When the Integra fell through, Dealershift got a white type R in and I messaged Roach right away to buy it. It was used with 5400km on it, less than a year old. Has been lowered, had some OEM+ parts on it and had PPF on it (things I would have done). It was over MSRP but with the mods it had, trade in value for the Golf R, it was the right move and I am more than happy with the sale. Much much better experience than dealing with a regular dealership as that whole experience gave me anxiety already.

I think this will be a forever car for me, something I plan to pass down onto the kids when they grow up. Always wanted a Civic Type R but would never of dreamed of being able to get one.

There will 100% be ICE cars for the rest of our lifetimes as everyday appliances. My kids I'm less certain. Barring some really leftie countries where they will ban ICE in urban centers (mainly Europe) I bet you'll still be seeing a 2015 Corolla driving around in 2050 or 2060.

I usually give it a minute in the M3. A little longer in the winter. I got LEDs on the rev counter to show temperate and limits revs. Usually even when it's cold the orange LED is a 6k. I know shit's really cold when the orange LED is at 5.5k

Does the type R have rev limiter suggestion on startup?

C7 has an "orange" soft limiter at 3500rpm, and "red" hard limiter at 4500rpm, until you drive for 5 mins or so.

100 percent. Sometimes I feel that these upper class clubs in Hong Kong are a bit boring. -not that I am a member of any of those clubs. My godparents are Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club members. Godfather has a horse, a jockey, and a trainer for his races at Happy Valley.

The food at these private clubs in HK are quite good though. Buffet at the Jockey Club in HK is good. -appreciate the times that my godfather talked to me how to pick horses that would have the best potential to win races. Binoculars are a must have for horse races haha.

However, I do find some of the staff at the private clubs to have a snobbish attitude. -not surprised by their attitudes. I asked one of the servers at the Jockey Club one time in Canto "Can you please tell me where are the washrooms?" She points me to the direction of the washrooms and then gives me a smirk, snobbish looks

The only thing that I can think some of the ultra rich in HK do that has some value to society are their annual donations to charity foundations. The wealthy in Hong Kong do donate money to assist charities. Charities that help seniors with housing and healthcare needs for example.

Unfortunately, that's when the TVB big whigs need to create annual TV programs to show a bunch of rich men or women carry big cheques to show how much money they donated to hospitals and charities. I get you and generally agree. Having lived in both places I definitely see the pros and cons of both. In Hong Kong if you're well off, you're definitely treated differently and propped up on a pedestal. Whereas in Canada, everyone is treated 'equally', which includes the random Starbucks barista that give the paying customer attitude and expect a large tip, or garbage men who go on strike and let the homeowner's garbage rot for a week in their own lot.

I don't expect to be treated like a king or treat them like peons, but if I'm paying taxes and maintenance (strata fees) I expect my garbage to be collected or I'd raise up hell too

Fairview Park is a rare example of a self-contained gated community in Hong Kong, linked to the outside world by Fairview Park Boulevard, which despite being a private road has long been opened to the public; its heavy use by nearby villagers and businesses eventually became a source of controversy.

Accident
On 31 January 2007, a 12-year-old pupil riding his bike to school was run over and killed by a large truck at Fairview Park Boulevard. Fairview Park residents accused the Hong Kong Government of delaying the opening of the recently built Kam Pok Road (which bisects Fairview Park Boulevard near the Fairview Park gate) which cost roughly $10 million. This delay, they said, has resulted in Fairview Park Boulevard being turned into a major traffic thoroughfare.

On 2 February 2007, Fairview Park residents attended a special meeting organised by the Yuen Long District Council in which the Transport Department announced it would open Kam Pok Road on 5 February without restricting the use of Fairview Park Boulevard by heavy vehicles over seven metres in length. Fairview Park residents responded with outrage by waving placards and shouting. Some council members immediately left the meeting in protest.

Clashes

Kam Pok Road was opened to traffic by the Transport Department on 5 February 2007. By noon that day, Cable TV news images showed 100 Fairview Park residents demonstrating at the site of the bike accident by holding up placards. Fairview Park management staff then placed obstacles on the road blocking both access to part of the boulevard and consequently the ability of trucks making a turn. More than 100 Tai Sang Wai villagers traded insults with Fairview Park residents. Deputy chairman of the San Tin Rural Committee Fung Kan-cheung stressed that their village road which turned onto the boulevard, remains their only major access road to the outside world. Ms Leung, a Fairview Park resident, insisted that banning heavy vehicles on the boulevard would have no impact on the access of local villagers who used smaller vehicles. She went on, "We have tried every peaceful means in the past. The government does not listen when we are civilised."[6] The owner of a nearby container storage yard objected to the heavy vehicle ban, saying Kam Pok Road was too narrow for container trucks to pass as he clashed with Fairview Park management staff

You can tell it to not fold or fold when you lock and walk away. My Datsun does not do that.

for 63k it better fucking auto fold the mirror. My hitlerbox has it too.

P.s. its pretty janky, if you use that feature, it will SLIGHTLY move the mirrors out of position and eventually after a few weeks you'll need to readjust your mirrors. in my case, its the right hand mirror it seems to tilt upwards and i gotta move it down.

I can tell! I was just thinking they looked a bit like my pentex lenses from the beetle meat. It has a nice soft and dreamy quality to it. I really like vintage lenses.

this is actually a modern lens, its a 35mm f/0.95, I have a diffusion filter for it
