Just a friendly follow up but I read somewhere on the forum here that dark0821 is replacing his Prius with a GT3? Is this true?

He sold his allocation and is just cruising through life as a bus driver? Damn. Strategic move right there.

not even 1 guess for my prius prime?
I assume the bumper skin being replaced requires sensor calibrations and stuff? I'm guessing that'll cost as much as the parts do. $4k?

$3500 for the prius.

Update - cost of estimate currently sits at $9,600, subject to change if additional damage is found. Unfortunately the headlight and light bar need to be replaced at $3000 and $1500 each (WTF?).
A quick google search shows a headlamp assembly to be around $1500 only...

Sounds about right, lexus Rx headlights were like $3500 10 years ago and they were only HID, now all EVs are pretty much bespoke parts, per car and nothing is shared like the ice days. That's why I said it many years ago that Tesla is the only safe buy cuz they are the most common so ease of getting parts like apple, basically anything else is like buying One plus, nothing, china android phones.

stupid modern day cars... i think they purposely make these parts obscenely priced so any itty bitty accident and BOOM TIME FOR A NEW CAR!
its 2020+ era planned obsolescence.

I thought teslas were the worst offenders since the front and rear are a one piece single cast. So you gotta replace the whole thing.
