Some major works happening this/next week:

AC System Fix:
- replace condenser/compressor/drier/AC lines, recharge AC, test

Front Wheel Extended Studs
- H&R 15mm extended studs, can finally use a big spacer without the adapter to clear my brakes with my "street" wheels
- Needs new front wheel bearings due to how Honda has it set up...

Rollbar Install
- Rollbar install, trim interior plastics, seatbelt relocate
- The stuff has been sitting in the garage this past year, finally decided to get it over with and installed

Maintenance
- Oil change
- Transmission fluid change
- Brake fluid change (SRF rocks, lasted 2 years of tracking (3-4 events a year) for me and I'm just changing out of caution)
- Differential fluid change
- Realign bumper - it's cockeyed right now for some reason?
- Headlight haze removal - might need new bulbs soon too.

Hopefully everything will get done in time for the spring. Most of the stuff is being done at a shop, my arm is too messed up right now to do much.

At some poin they'll hit you with a VI and test the exhaust and claim it's too loud. I'd rather keep a low profile with the VPD traffic unit.

because of its position it was noticeable but completely harmless compared to average tesla headlamps or the 5 billion lumen yellow fogs you see on tacos 4runners

Totally OT, but I had a chance to drive a Lucid around SF for a couple of days last August. It was a perk the Four Seasons SF offered guests, and I have to say I was blown away. It drove amazingly, and the interior quality was incredible.

And I would say the power to weight is good enough for 85% of driving situations. The remaining 15% where it fails ultimately is any kind of passing / overtaking maneuver.

I have a '25 AWD as well, this sums in up perfectly. The interior is a nice place to be, feels more expensive than it should. The size inside is ample. Transmission is terrible and it has no guts (I actually thought it was fucked at one point, to which the service guys said 'nah thats just the cvt'). Its fine.

Like the rest of the car, it's fine for 85% of my travels but that remaining 15% is hatred for long trips. Those seats start to hurt! That's where my Van comes in though.

I got a 2000watt escooter myself. Its a medium teir scooter. Does 62km/h top speed. But most of the time I just hover around 30-35km/h.

My buddy has a Kaabo King GT. Its a 4000Watt scooter and he can do about 100 km/h if he wanted to.

There are no legally written rules for these as EUC's, performance scooters, Onewheels's, etc. fall into a grey area.The unspoken rules are don't be a dick and be courteous to pedestrians but that goes with just about anything you can ride. I ride in bike lanes mostly and only on roads when it is the only option. Being able to go up to 85km/h fairly quickly allows me to ride safely on the road when necessary. There is a brake light in the rear and I use hand signals for everything and I feel that is safer than having to communicate with drivers/peds on a bike or scooter. There are faster EUC's than mine, some can can go up to 110km/h+ (not that you should) and 200km's+ on a charge.

My Escooter got full suspension. Same with my friends Kaaboo. His is even better than mine.


We are not talking about the entry level cheap scooter like the Lime.

For sure a motorcycle has a purpose. Like anything its just another option for folks.

You don't need gas, insurance, can use the EV charging stations, can take it on the skytrain, or seabus, doesn't take up much space, and can fit under the table or in an office.

NIU makes some very nice e-scooters and moped style scooters like the ones pictured above like the NQi and the newer MQi series that are avaliable in Canada. I heavily considered them before I went all in on EUC's. The XQI series are great too if your looking for more of a Sur-Ron/Talaria style electric dirt bike.

Assuming you have checked for proper fluid level when car is cold and hot

My sky had the same issue in winter, if it was slightly low, it would not provide heat.

Agreed and if my GTI didn't have 400hp and all the suspension/braking/handling mods I would drive it even less. I usually drive it when I want to have a good time AND have friends come along. As much fun as the GTI is to drive in it's current state, I still find the Miata to be way more fun and engaging despite having a lot less power.

I already have a Camry Hybrid which I'm sure will outlive me, otherwise I'd trade in the GTI for another Toyota commuter car or an EV of some sort. Problems of the first world! FeelsBadMan

Front right is definitely tweaked, so will take some frame work. Problem is stuff that is like unicorn balls - dash, airbags, etc. I am going to part out the car and move to different platform. Everything from the rad back looks OK, there are a lot of parts that are desirable in this car because it is so old and rare at this point.

Part of the issue with running a 20-year old car.

I lost it just after turn 3, bad downshift. Pure driver error like I said. Total skill issue. :okay:

Err... so lets say... one of the 19in tires on my prius is F**KED.... and being such a weird size of 195/50R19... it was almost just the same price to pick up a set of 18in used curbed tesla rims with tires ($550)...plenty of tread left on the tires too, just I had to drive 3 hours out to get them... Then back straight for T3 is another 180 ish lol. Unlike what most people believe about the walls at Mission... it's a factor, but walls don't move.

I have been good so far, some life changes so I sold the Camaro. I still have 8 cylinders... Just across two cars. :badpokerface: Honestly, I like the Miata a bit more driving around the town. You can flog it without getting in trouble and pretty much everything on it costs half vs. the Camaro. Especially gas.

Macan for 6 years
Cayenne for 1 year

Macan: relatively trouble free, It has a Cobb tune on it @ 490 lb/tq, it rips. Parts are expensive af, oil change isnt cheap, brakes arnt cheap. Only thing that went on me was the coolant expansion tank.
I changed the plastic coolant lines as prevantitive maintenance, transfercase has a high failure rate but if you religiously change the fluid (every 2nd oil change) they last.

Car is sitting at 100k kms at the moment. Drove to LA and back no issues. Macans are all about options as well - took me months to find the right optioned one (18 way seats, leather dash, 21's, pasm etc.) - Most of them are terribly equipped lol.
I thought about trading in for a Gen 3 GTS but im happy with the car and no issues so far. So shes sticking around for now

In my totally biased opinion, yes. I love the way you can rotate the car with either the gas or the brake, and the MRS is super nimble with very quick steering, and that equals a fun time for me.
