| Where can I buy japanese green tea?
I'm looking to find some japanese green tea as a gift. I'm no tea expert so I have no idea what kind I'm looking for, but something good for someone who really likes green tea.

sorry i dont drink tea.. but i frequent konbinya on robson (near bute) and there is a green tea section with various leaves and matcha powder.. stuff like that http://www.konbiniya.com/itemlist/index.html#soup

There's this little asian dried food market (sauces, noodles, chips, snacks etc.) at Lansdowne.
They are located near Langley Market.
They've got real japanese matcha powder for cheap. ~$6 i think?
Not quite what you'd call a serious gift.
Tea shop I go to Shaktea @ 21st and Main has japanese teas.

T&T has a few choices as well. I love the one with mountains on it and its brown rice and matcha green tea...sooo good!
Also there is a newer place in Metrotown called Teaopia they have many different types of green tea and you can sample some of them too

The kirkland brand greentea? That's alright.
But I agree with alwayssideways, the brown rice tea is awesome. Flavour rocks.
