good observation. maybe REVscene doesn't need the extra cashflow from the ads.

God I hate those ad's as well that load up when you a click a thread and have to wait for the "skip this ad" bar to pop up. Seems like every forum and blog have switched to them.

an ad at the bottom of the page is not going to generate much if any cash.
I say use those ads between posts in every thread. Then have an option for user to turn it off in their profile. So basically the people that cares and will not click anyways have a way to turn it off. For the newbies that don't have a clue... let them click. 
Actually, now I think about it... I would even force ads in buy&sell section.
