Man I love BMW 8-series... too bad I will never own one just because the maintenance is soooo brutal... just such a beautiful car

dude.. i spoke to like the 6th 8 series owner.
they all chime one song: the horrible service stories are myths. its like a regular BMW, tought but not impossible.
Just have to find a good one. I talked to a guy at the revscene summer meet, he just bought his 850 from an owner in north van, had it for two years - and nothing.
i think its all bs.

The 8 series has the same running gear as the 7 and you never hear them complaining about the 7. Think about that
I wanted one for the longest time and was about to buy one but at the last minute decided that I don't want another old car, get myself something new instead.
